it's pretty common, from what i've heard,
for toy fair items to be one of kind items for display.
some of the monster high ones last year were supposedly hand painted, and the dresses, also made my hand rather than machine.
why they usually have more details at the show. or so i'd guess.
wonder how much truth there is to it.

Saw this display at walmart for the Rainbow Rocks EQG, even though they didnt actually have any on there yet (apparently dora is now an EQG). The pinkie shown seems to roughly correlate to the pinkie brushable we saw.

I'd say, judging by the fact the photo in this person's account falls in the middle of a set of pictures taken from Aurora set up, that it probably is Aurora.

I'm really excited for her. She looks GREAT! I've been waiting for someone to make a Luna plush and I really though Funrise would be the first to do it... but I gotta say, I'm glad it wasn't them. :b

Wow I didn't see that at Aurora's booth. They must have really hid it on purpose. Can't wait to see her IRL

sooo....in the artwork pinkie is supposed to have TAF balloons, but in Hasbro cheapens out and just does spots on the toy? (plus I want that hair bow clip for the toy)

Looks like we'll be getting a set of the mane 6 in rainbow dresses too. You can see a few of them if you squint,and Fluttershy was in a different photo.

I really wish that instead of getting the main 6 characters over and over with different weird combinations of hair colors, they would just put that effort and those hair colors into new ponies. :/

They aren't molded on (which is what Mattel does for their Disney Princess dolls) but rubber clothes like Polly Pocket.

I wonder how big those sitting RD and Pinkie plushies are in front of her. I saw the smaller sitting ones already, but the plush pictured seem large for some reason... maybe it's the tags, they look small around their necks (the detailing on the eyes seems greater, too). I hope they are bigger I need a Fluttershy

They aren't molded on (which is what Mattel does for their Disney Princess dolls) but rubber clothes like Polly Pocket.

That sounds less worse (not a fan of plastict clothes) are all of the removable?   Twilight's shirt looks like  is removable, however  is hard to see from the pic but Pinkie's and Rainbow's jacket almost look molded on their shirt looks painted on

I was just talking about that same thing to someone on another thread about Luna plushies. I'd love to see some licensed plush of Luna with her current indigo scheme, but I don't terribly mind that it's designed based off of her appearance in season one. They still missed the mark on her body colour, though ;P she was more of a periwinkle in S1, not violet.

Well unfortunately-  at least at my Target-  the Equestria Girl dolls seem to be flying off the shelves much faster than the brushable ponies, ever since when they were first released.  They simply can't keep them in stock.  So that's probably why there are more Equestria Girls this time around?  Hasbro probably wants to ride that gravy train until it derails.

Why are the new dolls lacking articulation?  Maybe those ones sold better than the "deluxe" dolls.   I guess three year olds (my guess as to who is pointing and wanting these dolls) don't really notice.


As an aside- I love that Aurora Luna-  I try to resist plush for size reasons- but she looks fantastic!
