I always seal glitter. I don't think it looses much sparkle as long as you use a gloss sealer.
The surest way to get glitter to stick to a pony:1) Allow glitter to exist in the same room as the pony. (For lighter coverage, it may only be necessary for the glitter to exist in the same house.)2) Within the glitter's hearing, loudly proclaim, "God, I hope none of that glitter gets on this pony."3) Apply a very small amount of glitter to anything else in the room.4) Wait fifteen minutes.-Tabbythe princess with claws

That made me laugh! My husband considers glitter to be a type of plague. Once it's in the house it continues to spread and there's no getting away from it!
