I accidentally spilt acetone on a similar plastic, and it was eaten away. I've been too scared to try it for real on any hard plastics since.

I'm going to sub to this thread so I remember to check if any of my old horses are suitable to send to you. I would love to see them all fixed up and put in someone's collection. I don't particularly like them but I don't want to throw them away!
Beautiful job! She looks fantastic!I customized a Dream Beauty once but didn't go so far as to pry her apart and replace the hair so that's original.visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I did manage to get all the hair out but with how she is now she won't come apart x.x Oh and she still has a gap below where her tail is supposed to go I tried to fix that but it didn't work. The other one with hair is nice but she needs some fixing up still and her seam was broken when I got her in the mail (the seller thinks that it broke during transit *shrugs*)
ooo that could be a fun project hmm.... Now since I've only done this whole thing once I might give bad advice, but I'm sorta wondering if it's glued pretty good... One way to try and loosen the glue up and expand the plastic is get some really hot water and pour it inside the horse, like give it a hot water bath. Try it on the one without hair, and just let it soak in hot water for a while until the water cools down just enough so that it won't burn your hands, then use a table knife and start at where the mane goes and slowly try to pry it apart.other than that, I'm not really sure without actually messing with the horse... if you're really stuck, maybe you could send one to me and I could see if I can figure out how to get it apart? If you do though just be prepared that it could break, because you never know with those things sometimes, I don't want you being upset with me if you send it to me and I break it while trying to get it apart
