Thanks everyone, I agree these are a very nice variety of ponies!

Wow, nice find! I haven't found such a fun variety of ponies while thrifting in years  I don't know their names, but I love the top pony with the lollipop symbol!

I’m in agreement on the lollipop pony!

I found twelve ponies at Value Village a few days ago! Most are G3, but one was a G1 Blue Belle. Most just seem to be dirty with matted hair, though a few, such as the Pinkie Pie, seem to have faded pink hair. (At least they all have their tails this time!)

Pony Corral / Re: Securing a fakie tail

Would a rehair of the tail with yarn be more feasible? I would bulk up the tail so it's less likely to get stuck and if you have no hair on hand, yarn would suit it just fine.

I may have to attempt some sort of rehair if it means bulking out the tail enough for it to stay put. Thankfully the fakie has no neck seal to mess with, since I've never done a rehair of any sort before.

Update: I cracked the fakie open to see what was inside and uh...
...that’s one way to secure a tail.

And bonus shot of the fakie overall. Kind of discoloured, but I’m not super fussed about that given it’s not going on display.

I wouldn't use glue; I got a g1 Bowtie once secondhand where someone tried to glue in her tail and it was a mess. It seeped out into the tail hair and you couldn't comb or style the tail. I never got all the glue out, even soaking it in Goo-gone and even acetone. Can you just use a big zip tie inside so it won't pull through? Maybe even add a dab of glue to the zip tie only and secure it to the inside of the pony's rear end without getting glue on the hair? Maybe someone has a better idea.

Thanks for the warning! I really want to be sure that the tail can't be pushed inside the body since the pony is going to a young kid, but I'll wait and see if there are any other ideas before taking any drastic action on securing it.

Pony Corral / Securing a fakie tail

I'm helping to clean up a batch of pony toys (some EQ dolls, some g4 ponies, two fakies) for a cousin's Christmas gift, and one of the fakies has a very loose tail. It appears to be set into one hole rather than rooted like many fakies usually are, but the tail is so thin that it can easily be pushed backwards into the body! I'm considering using glue to secure the tail so it can't be pushed back in since I don't need to do a heavy restore, but I wanted input just to be sure on how to secure this tail for a toy that's going to be played with.

Found four G1 ponies at Value Village today, and most seem to be in really good condition too! I've only ever found one at a time there, so this is amazing!

Baby Tic Tac Toe. She's got problems. Plasticizer leakage, body's already pretty hard, green spots possibly from her hair, but hopefully fixable. Hopefully. (Can the plasticizer leakage transfer to other ponies? Been getting mixed messages on that.)

Lickety Split. Really nice, and her hair is still pink despite apparently being fading pink! Probably just needs a magic eraser and a detangling!

So Soft Lofty. The flocking is in really good condition with no scuffs as far as I can tell, but could use a bit of a wipe down to remove some dirt.

And Glory. Let me tell you, that is an amazing mane job and I'm not touching that. Again, could use a magic eraser and a bit of work on her tail, and there's a trio of blue dots on her chin that could possibly sunfade off. (pen? They're in a perfect triangle shape.)

Perhaps. Glad to know it can maybe be fixed at least, since I have so few G1 ponies and would hate to have to toss one.

Pony Corral / Regrind or age spots???

I got a Baby Tic Tac Toe today and...she is the worst condition G1 I have ever had. I'm pretty sure she's got plasticizer leakage, and she has weird greenish spots all over her body. I initially assumed regrind, but apparently that's normally hot pink and Baby Tic Tac Toe is more known for age spots? Not sure what I'm dealing with here, and I'm unsure if I can even store her with myother ponies without spreading the leakage around.

I would fix her hair, but I can't order new hair right now. But she is still pretty, though!

I found this Parasol in a thrift store today! She's missing her tail, had a manecut at some point, and might have regrind, but she's still just my second g1 pony.

Looks like a baby pony. I'm not as familiar with G1, to be honest.

(I can't get a picture right now.)
She appears to be a G1 unicorn. Her body is purple with purple/white bunny symbols. She has a white mane, but her tail is missing. The bottoms of her hooves say she was made in 1987. Any help on this pony?

Look what I found in a dollar store today. There's some engrish on the box, too. The box says things like "Let us playing together" and "Come to play with together".

Yes, there were three versions of this pony! XD They have very squishy bodies.

I also found this girl in another store today! She has very weird hair! (The mane sticks almost straight up, the forelock of her mane was molded on, and her tail is a wavy mess!) Yes, she came with the saddle and neck ...thingy. However, there is some saddle sore marks under the saddle when it's taken off.
