I'm still missing 19 Gen 1 pokemon (9 of which I've never seen at all / will need to hatch), but I'm excited for Gen 2   I'm just excited to be able to see new stuff pop up again after months of stagnation - I'm in a pretty rural area. 

This event was good for me knocking a few evos off my list - Rapidash, Poliwrath, Sandslash and soon Exeggcutor.  But I never saw a Chansey or a Porygon.  In the wrong biome I guess

Glad everyone had a pretty good experience with the Valentine's event! I was out of town for a portion of the event and in a rural area, but when I was home I was able to take advantage of it. With the help of the double candy and a Seel nest I was able to evolve two Dewgongs. So far I've tried one out in battle against a Dragonite twice its strength and Dewgong beat it fairly easily! I'm not sure if that was just a fluke, but I was impressed. Frost Breath ftw. I was also able to walk my Dratini quite a bit thanks to the halved walking distance and am a little closer to a Dragonite of my own (40 candies to go, I think?)

I was finally able to find a Chansey when we arrived at our airport after the trip home. This is just off the plane; I was hoping we would be allowed off before she disappeared and thankfully we got off and I caught her. The cluster spawn she was in was actually pretty insane, lol.

GEN 2 IS COMING!

First off, glad to hear that we all had a decent time with the event. I was worried at first, but being able to catch a few Chansey and evolve some Pokemon was worth it. Maybe I'll get a Porygon someday...

That said...GEN 2!

I'm so excited! This is my favorite generation, and it's supposed to start at the end of this week (official word from Niantic). The weather is supposed to be gorgeous around here this weekend, I can't wait to go Pokémon hunting!

I'm excited, too! I actually don't know as much about this generation -- I can name about half but am not very familiar with their abilities/types. Thankfully my sister is a Pokémon buff and can tell me all I don't know, and it might be even more interesting this way, catching creatures that are unfamiliar to me. I've saved some high-stat Eevees for Umbreon and Espeon, and I really want to catch a Furrett and Swinub because I think they're cute Oh, and Chikorita and Cyndaquil and Corsula. And this is kind of inconsequential, but new clothes for avatars will be a welcome change as well. Now I need to go stock up on Pokeballs to prepare for catching Pokémon!

Hopefully Gen 2 will be out by Saturday, hehe, so we can take full advantage of the  6 hour lures!  One of the groups I'm in is trying to plan a meetup for when Gen 2 comes out, and the weather is supposed to be halfway decent Saturday, too, so it would be perfect!

I'm with you, Haruna - I know almost nothing about Gen 2!! But I'm excited to learn! And YAAAASS more eevees!! I still have a lot of Gen 1 pokes to catch/evolve, but maybe it'll make the game more exciting again!

I really want to catch a Furrett

I plan on hoarding a bunch of Furret and naming them all after my 5 ferrets. It's always been one of the cutest Pokemon to me.

Gen 2 has my favorite Pokemon (Ampharos), starter (Cyndaquil) and legendary (Lugia) so I'm obviously kinda biased in my excitement. But I hope that I'm able to finish the dex for Gen 1 as well.

I'm glad that you guys are excited, too. Gen 2 has a lot of fun Pokemon.

I caught Spinarak, Natu, Sentret, Swinub, and ALMOST got a Ledyba today!

I caught all of those along with Murkrow, Gliger and Phanpy. Pretty good considering I haven't left the house since getting home from work. I missed out on Marill, though. Threw one Pokeball and it ran away.

I think they moved spawn points, there used to be pokemon that spawned within range of my house and there haven't been any tonight. But I have seen a Misdreavus and Piloswine (that's the second form right?) in the nearby list!


Update on that yellow flash a while back: I finally caught a Ditto with my Go+ (first time) and it flashed green. So that yellow flash must have been a bug or something weird.
