Pokémon Go! Lapras and Articuno

I chased the shadows of two Shellders and a Slowpoke around for about an hour yesterday in my neighborhood. Most of the lower CP pokemon I went after ran immediately after busting out. Almost especially when I used a raspberry out of sheer frustration.

A clefairy silhouette  keeps showing up near my house but I'm 90% sure it's like.... consistently located on my neighbor's private road, where I don't think would be polite to walk. Boo!

Lol. Clefairys seem pretty common on the highway in between my hometown and my college town. I was incredibly lucky to have one appear on the road while I was riding (not driving, I promise! I can't even drive, either way) in the car and caught it!

Well, Gen Con is this weekend. Gaming convention + Pokemon Go = this is going to be interesting! If the convention center has a gym, I'm not even going to bother.

BTW, I caught two Squirtle today! TWO!!! One at the post office and one in front of my neighbor's pool.

Hmm, I keep having trouble connecting to the GPS this evening. I wonder if that's just a Thing today, or if its on my end?
In other news, I took it to the boardwalk / theme park near me and it was a real pokemon hotspot! I'd definatly recommend trying similar locations...

EDIT: OH my gosh so this park in Frisco is seriously awesome. Shellder, Seel, Squirtle, Staryu, amd Dratini!

There is a single Pokestop in my end of town, at the church at the end of my street.  I've seen a few cars the past few days just camping out there when I hit it on the way to and from work. 

Last night I was there getting my freebies when something popped up in the parking lot and I was like, "That is the ugliest bulbasaur I have ever seen.  What is wrong with it?"  Yeah. It was an ivysaur.  #pokefail

Minus some egg hatching, I haven't been playing too much. I'm waiting for tracking to come back.

I'm a bit sad that last weekend a snorlax popped up on my screen but when I tapped him he disappeared. Then the same thing happened with my husband's account 20 seconds later.

Boo.

I tried to change my GPS settings to base it off of wifi and mobile networks (I always do that while I'm at work), and when I opened the game, it couldn't find my location. I used Google Maps on my phone and it found me, so no idea why the game won't unless it's on high accuracy (and that kills my battery).

Must be something with the new update, because I didn't have GPS issues prior to that.

I have found the lazy person's way to hatch eggs - give your phone to a hyperactive child and let them run free.  Here, children.  Here is a pixy stick and a Surge.  Now go, go bring forth new life and hatch those eggs!  AND STOP WASTING MY POKEBALLS ON THOSE STUPID RATTATAS WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU

Caught 3 Meowth coming into work today! Sooooo close to a Persian!

I actually haven't had any! I stopped drinking pop over a year ago, so I haven't given in to the temptation. One of my friends said that it doesn't taste any different, if I recall.
