Title: Introduction
Post by: mindylynpony on November 24, 2017, 08:42:34 PM
Hey there! Thanks for letting me join :) My name is Mindy, I am 35 years old Navy Veteran/Stay at home mom. I've been in love with Mlps since I was 3 years old, but I lost most of my ponies growing up and have just started collecting again in the last 5 years. Since joining some Facebook groups in order to reach out to other collectors, I've learned so much about ponies that I didn't know. There are so many ponies out there I didn't even know existed and now I need them!! But in the meantime, i'm really interested in learning new ways to preserve, restore, and customize the ponies I have. I've bought entire lots of ponies just to get one pony that I wanted, so i'm looking to either restore or customize and sell them so that I can buy more ponies!! I mostly collect G1's but there are a few G2s and G3s I like, and I have a few fakies that i'm partial to... But I'm not really fond of the G4s even though my youngest son loves them!! Also, I really want to make my own pocket pals for all the baby outfits I have, can anyone tell me what size pom poms those are?! Thanks!!

Hello! Welcome to the Arena! There are a lot of collectors here, and a wealth of pony knowledge :) I think a lot of collectors have experienced finding ponies online, then wanting every pony!! I sure did, haha  For restoration, the Pony Corral is a great place to ask. You can search other threads here too. I can't wait to see the customs you make! You can post pics of them in the Customs forum :) Hope you have fun!

Hello and welcome, Mindy!

The Arena is a great place to buy ponies and share information. We all love seeing ponies in need of TLC getting restored, so don't be afraid to ask if you have any questions!

Do you have a favourite pony in your collection? Or perhaps a childhood favourite still waiting to be added? :)

Welcome to the arena Mindy :)

You could get a bag of mixed size pom-poms from eBay or your local craft shop and see what fits into the pockets! I think the pom-poms get squished overtime!

Love pkw xxx

Welcome to the Arena!  :green: :welcome:
Haha, I know that feeling when you see the ONE pony that you MUST have, but need to buy it as part of a larger lot
It's so addictive collecting ponies!
