Title: Anyone know when the Pokemon Sun & Moon anime will be aired in English?
Post by: LadyMoondancer on February 15, 2017, 11:19:31 AM: I've been trying to figure out when Pokemon Sun & Moon will air on Disney X.D. Anyone know? Disney X.D. showed the first two episodes as a preview, but I haven't seen any additional episodes on their schedule.

Nothing against subtitles, but I really want to watch it with the English dub. ;) I'm so excited to see the Alolan Pokemon in cartoon form!

Post by: True on February 15, 2017, 12:55:20 PM: I have no idea, but Im so in love with the animation style they went with... I know a lot of people dont seem to like it, and I did like the crisp xy animation. But I think the softer theme this time around is really cute!

I liked XY's crisp look a lot, but the new animation does make me feel nostalgic. And Ash seems more like an actual 10 year old again (which sort of varies from series to series, lol!)

Also eagerly awaiting a) more of Team Skull and b) the arrival of Team Rocket. James is my favorite character. (Sorry Ash!)

Post by: Einhornbaby on February 16, 2017, 02:21:26 AM: Ive seen a few episodes on youtube yet (some german, yay, some english and some japanese with english subtitles), they were indeed very cute :D And yes, Ash suddenly seems very young again :P But I like it a lot! At first I wasnt much happy about it but the more I see of it the more I like it. I think its mostly due to the fact that Meowth gets so much screentime <3 I love Meowth!

The art style has grown on me . . . I'm especially enjoying how the animators will exaggerate facial features to show emotion:

Team Rocket's Mimikyu! It's genuinely unsettling, yet also makes for some of the funniest moments. Also Rowlet and his birb family and Popplio. <3 Oh yeah, and Bewear.

Post by: Taffeta on March 03, 2017, 05:42:47 PM: I haven't actually seen it airing on the network here in Kansai but it must be, I maybe just don't have the channel. I saw one episode of it air in Tokyo two or three weeks ago, which had the girl...name has gone...ah, Lillie, and she had a white vulpix. The whole episode was around that, and Team Rocket were there too. I watched it because Miki Shinichirou = Koujirou (James) and that makes me happy :) but anyhow. It's the only episode I saw and I don't think it could've been that far into the run, as Ash had unevolved Owlett and Pikachu and I don't remember if he had anything else.
Oh, Jessie had Wobuffet. That also made me happy.

If it's not that far into the Japanese run, maybe the English run is a fair bit behind? I don't know with Pokemon but I know they like to cut out and censor whole chunks of stuff in English eps of this series. I also know that Moana hasn't released in Japan yet although it's been out in other countries for a while now, because of the dubbing and stuff. So maybe that's the bottom line? Perhaps easter? (Guessing).

Post by: Gator on May 19, 2017, 03:42:40 PM: I did see an episode air last night so I guess it's finally here in the USA. Ash was at some Pokemon school and they were watching a Pokemon egg. I have to say though guys, watching this new animation style was rough. No offense to those who like it, but man it's ugly. The young boy in the group especially hard to look at.
