Pony Brag Arena / pic heavy - Finally Displaying All My Ponies

So I haven't had them all out at once since I was about 15. They've just been living in a box in the closet. Adding more ponies seemed a little silly as I would never see them anyway so I rarely buy new ones. But, after collecting almost all the Basic Funs in box, we couldn't use the closet anymore. So my husband helped me build this shelf so I could finally display them. And it has doors so I don't have to dust them as much!

This is almost all of my ponies. I do have a few others scattered around on other shelves.

I tried to arrange them by pose and color. As a kid, it was my dream to have a pony in each color from every pose. I don't know if there are that many ponies...

The Dollhouse / Do we still do Pullips?

I remember they used to have a following here and I wonder if any one else still loves them? I'm so excited that my Pullip KUROMI is arriving sometime this month. I ordered her months ago and I love having at least one fun thing to look forward to.

In December, my husband ordered me a Pullip for Christmas. She arrived just a couple of weeks after the pandemic started. Hilarious timing I guess. My family thought it was great.

Pony Corral / Taking off heads?

I took all of my pony's heads and tails off when I was child to get all the water out when I tossed them all in the bathtub and made ponies soup.

It was my attempt to keep them clean. They were... cleaner and I never had tail rust or mold.

Recently, I won a small lot of ponies that needed cleaning. Two have tail rust and others look like they have green spots on the inside. Still others look ok but, even rinsing their hair gently, I fear moisture might have gotten inside. Is it acceptable to pop heads off and just look inside? I never gave it a thought before.

I saw the silver blindbags at Hot Topic and decided against because of the price tag. I went to Walmart after that and found them for just about $2 each! I'm so excited! I'm only missing one of wave 7 now. I can live with that.

Cherry Fizz has some extra paint on his leg but I think that will come off ok. If not, I might replace him because he's a favorite. But except for a select few from the other series, I think I'm done with the blind bags.

Peach's wings are actually broken at the base. They fall off if breathed on. But they still make a good picture.

My name is Brightberry. I'm so happy to be here. I fell in love with MLP the moment I saw Medley and Firefly sliding down a rainbow in the 80s. There was nothing I wanted more in the world than to visit ponyland. My first pony was a G1 Glory. I took her everywhere. Every year since then I got about 3 new ponies for birthdays and Christmas until they disappeared from the shelves. Years later I picked up a few G2 ponies, a few G3 ponies and finally caved to the cute little blind bag ponies. I love the new cartoon and look forward to talking about ponies with everyone.
