I wonder if the Rarity bodies (or at least the arms) can be dyed? Also wondering if legs or arms can be switched so we can have the better arms (the only nice thing of the original dolls imho) of the first deluxe dolls but the legs with feet of the later dolls? I wouldn't mind jointed arms but I can live without jointed knees. (I find jointed knees without jointed arms to be the most pointless thing)

I'd say that's true. Only the first wave of dolls had them. Yeah, I cut the tail things off too XD can't stand them XD Pinkie who comes with the markers doesn;t have them and Vinyl doesn't even because her hair is short. Also as a note, Marker Pinkie's hair is rooted differently to the others to allow for her pigtails. You cannot put a regular EQG's hair in pigtails. Bald spots ahoy!

Are the Rainbow Rocks doll any better quality wise than the first collection of dolls? I'm not really Huge into them but I've found I must like them enough because I own 4 of them, lol. I really didn't plan on getting any more but I'm really starting to love DJ Pon-3.
However, I really wasn't impressed at all with the quality of the 4 dolls I own and I don't think I would have ever paid full price for any of them, I got them all on clearance. Are the new dolls any better. Right now I'm really only interested in DJ but I may be willing to shell out for her if her hair isn't that tangly cheap crap used on the original dolls.

I had the same problem with them all except Twilight. I'm in the process of rerooting them since thebhair is terrible quality. All the rest of the Equestria Girls dolls have had nice smooth hair (at least in my case). I checked her over and her skirt can be removed and the massive train on the back is connected. Underneath the plastic top and boots there is a jumpsuit. Her legs don't have joints but her arms do. No, unfortunately her hair doesn't stay in place as in the box (I figured it wouldn't but something I didn't notice until today is that her hair is two-tone, two different shades of green. Others may have known that from the start but I didn't. LOL! Also, her hair is incredibly silky. The best ever. I'm almost tempted to take the twists out but I won't. I seriously love the Mane-iac doll. I didn't know if I would but I do. :D

The CMC dolls cost £34 in the UK. I can't believe how different the price is from the USA. That's like $56. :cry:

Does anyone know if the Octavia doll is out yet and is a TRU exclusive or another store exclusive? I've been trying to locate her for awhile... I am so interested in the new Celestia and Luna dolls!
Thanks. I know these dolls have a lot of detractors and admittedly some of them are kinda cheap quality wise but they're not that expensive to begin with and really cute imo. I love all the colors! I thought the first movie was really cute too and I'm now looking forward to the next one.
I keep checking every day, but still those through the mirror Luna and Celestia dolls are not up on their site! I hope they are at some point?!I'm not sure about the website, but if you are able to check the stores then you are more likely to find them. They've started popping up at the Walmart stores in my area but of course the website still says temporarily out of stock.
Try buying them in the UK...they are pricey trust me :P Especially for what they are when you compare like for like ££ items on the shelf unfortunately.

yeah the 3 eyed ghoul is a great match, there's actually a pic of a rainbow dash hybrid using that body on flickrbut the only problem is you'd have to order her torso separately on mattel's parts site so it might end being a pretty expensive hybrid to make. there is also abbey but she has a glittered body and really huge, clawed hands so i don't think that would be a good look for a pony girl doll.Spoiler

The only peg-legs were the first year dolls - mane six, Sunset Shimmer, Celestia and Luna. As soon as Rainbow Rocks started all the dolls got molded feet. :)

Oh wow- that is quite a lineup! I'm guessing the Equestria Girl dolls are turning out to be a success after all. I am glad that they are coming up with more articulated dolls- if only they'd add a wrist joint now!
I will be trying very hard to resist them- but that articulated Sunset and Bun-head will definitely be coming home with me if they make it into production...

Same thing I was thinking of. There is nothing inherently feminine about the girl's head molds so I think with a repaint a girl's head will work just fine. Sour Sweet even looks like she might be close in color.

Yup! The peg-legs were only the first wave-I think Hasbroken were seeing if it would take off and when it did they upped the quality a bit. The Rainbow Rocks dolls and onwards also have slightly better rooted hair.
It's a bit of a pain for my pegleg dolls as they're jealous of the fact the other girls have more shoes than them now XD

The moulded hair I could live with (though, it's 2015, Hasbro, and all the men I know have the same kind of grooming routines women do and it's not going to blow any child's mind to be able to brush and style a guy' hair), but...WHERE ARE HIS EARS :mad: Consistency plz. So...I've had a Deluxe Fluttershy for a while and finally opened her and yikes, I'm glad she wasn't my first :cry: Her hair is all different lengths, the longer part of her hair (the pony tail, if you will) is literally a wisp of hair, and she's got a hole in her head from a missing weft, it also feels really light and...odd? not very silky :/ Some of her hair is damaged from being tied to the box, too. I got the one with the dark pink hair as opposed to the salmon pink as I had heard this one had the better quality, but it seems not. It's a shame, because my Celestia from the same wave is gorgeous.
I've given it a good wash and condition so hopefully it'll be a bit nicer, else I might give her a trim to it's less of a mess.
That's too bad! I guess I got lucky- my original deluxe FS was pretty nice.
I am glad that they seem to have ditched the weird "pony-tails" in favor of a clip you can decide to use or not use- as warranted.
The new deluxe Fluttershy has a super sweet face- I haven't actually had a chance to remove her from the box though- so the jury is out on whether she is better or not.
I HAD ordered that deluxe Applejack (black leg and all) - but Kmart botched my order twice- and I never did get her, now she seems to be sold out everywhere. Pretty bummed about that- although it looks like more jointed dolls are coming down the pipe...

It always seems that we're the last to get things around here. I guess it's because you guys have their port of entry closer. I have seen these sell pretty well over here, too. I can see why though, they did a really nice job with these dolls, design wise.

Hmm, I'll definitely consider it then! Frustrating if she has trouble standing, though. I was wondering if those particular dolls could stand well; Fluttershy's shoes looked like they wouldn't be able to hold her up.

Adiago is basically discontinued at this point, but Sapphire Shores has only started to hit stores so I wouldn't assume your area has been skipped yet.
I am so frustrated trying to collect these dolls. After a couple days on shelves here, Sapphire Shores seems to have disappeared forever. Same situation with Lyra. Add them to the ever-growing list of dolls I can't seem to get. x_xoh? I'm pretty sure our walmart has one in stock

I went to TRU and all the had was rainbow dash, all different kinds but literally the shelves were full of just different versions of Dash. WTH.
Oh and Zecora always has her own section but I find her overpriced.

I'm wondering if we're gonna get Rockin' Hairstyle Rarity/Pinkie/Applejack, too. I figured they were just part of a second wave and they'd be turning up by now, but since Argos doesn't have them listed in their new catalog or anything, I'm kinda worried :x

Taffeta, have you got an Asda anywhere near you? I've found Lyra and Sweetie Drops there several times. No idea what's going on with Cheerilee and Amethyst Star though, I'm starting to think we're not gonna get them over here :x

I found the other 3 Rockin Hair dolls today at Target. I'm so glad I didn't turn to ebay! There was even another Pinkie and Rarity left.
I'll probably have to go to Amazon to get the last three Rockin Hair dolls, I think all of my stores have Friendship Games dolls now.
I *really* hope UK TRU get these in! I really need Chrysalis and Maud!!

Mine is redoing the aisle! Now the dolls are on the top shelf! UGH! I'm only five feet even; it's going to be really hard to see all of them now.
Currently they have the new Applejack and Fluttershy and the Friendship Games Basic dolls, as well as the earlier line Basics. The other stuff, the singing Twilight, Rockin' Hairstyle, and the Stampers, are out on a special clearance aisle.
These dolls seem to chart an ever weirder descent into the vagaries of Twilight Sparkle's mind. It's reminding me of Jem all over again, except this time there really are two of them.
I haven't bought any EQG dolls since I satisfied my hunt for Lyra and for the stunning Sunny Flare (aka Hopscotch in pony doll form), but I am tempted by the Queen Chrysalis doll. Pity getting to TRU is a chore. Wonder if I'll manage a trip before going to London, and if so, whether she'll be there. I am kinda sticky on price. I am still hoping to find a loose Adagio at some point because I daren't take mine from her box now she's so htf.

I rarely go either as I tend to always be disappointed when I do. If they have anything I want, it's invariably overpriced, or they have nothing of interest :( They were the only store to get DD FS but I wasn't paying nearly £20 for a plastic pony when Argos had them for £7.

Does the seller have anything that hints towards a future release. I'm still wondering if Target is going to have any doll exclusives or if TRU is getting a new 3 pack.
TRU UK were wholly unhelpful - they apparently don't know if Chrysalis is coming out here or when it might appear.

Congrats! I don't think I've ever seen her in stores! I won her at the MLP Fair so I'm lucky to have her at all. She's really gorgeous! I'd like to get another Rarity to take her hair down. I got Pony Mania Chrysalis today and upon hearing the lucky people finding Adagio at Marshalls and EqG stuff at TjMaxx is tempting me to go!
Though on another note, it's so bumming to have my favorite EqG gals, (Octavia and Chrysie) have no knee joints and I wish someone who knows doll parts could fix them up and add the little joints. >_<
