Pretty sure that dinosaur went extinct long before humans even existed.

Even today dino skeletons are sometimes found by accident. You don't always have to know where to dig.

Granted, I'm not an expert on the representation of unicorns throughout history, but even the medieval tapestries feature them with horns like we portray them today.
