I was looking through some used Fizzies online and I noticed that some of them had the gems in their eyes more brightly colored (which tbh I found kind of creepy, like a deer caught in headlights or something) while in others the gems were significantly darked and made the eyes more natural looking. Which of them is the original shade? I guess that either one of them is a result of fading or the other of staining over time, but which one is it? The wiki has pictures of both so it's not exactly helping. Or maybe those are just two different regional variants?

Sometimes, then photographed, the eyes catch the light and glow, so maybe this is the creepy thing that you are seeing?
I cannot remember off-hand what the eye shade is as I have packed Fizzy away in storage (house move impending!)

Fizzy's eyes are pink -- almost always except for very rare variants. I think what you're seeing is just the effect of the camera's flash. Twinkle eyes often appear to "light up" in flash photography, especially if their iridescent coating is worn off. For instance, the first photo on Fizzy's wiki page used a flash, and the second one did not. (Think of it like how some humans get "red eye" in photos -- their eyes don't really look like that in person! :P) Some Spanish variants do have weirder-looking eyes, but those are more due to shape/style than color.

That explains it to me, thanks!

Her eyed are a lovely shade of pink.

Well, Fizzys has a nice shade of pink but ive seen darker and brighter variants over time!
I have one that has a pretty vibrant pink and another one that has a softer tone. Will try to photograph that when I have time :)
edit : I think the softer-toned one is more common!
