Hi, I recently responded to a for sale post, as I was interested in a group of ponies they had listed. The seller responded that the group was mislabled and would actually cost $400 instead of $300.  At first I declined as it was too much for me justify spending. They countered with $350, but that was as low as they would go. I've asked them to send me pictures, but I'm kind of unsure at this point. They don't have any bad feedback, but on the other hand it's a lot of money. They haven't changed the price in their listing so it just feels a bit off to me.

Has anyone else ever had someone up the price when you responded to a sales post?

Pony Corral / Retro g1 MLP merchandise @ GameStop
« on: November 05, 2018, 09:25:20 AM »
Just a heads up that I found g1 merch at GameStop yesterday. I got a 5pack of ankle socks with Firefly; Applejack; Milkyway; Fizzy; & Suprise for $12.99. There was also a plastic drinking glass with straw for around $10 with several ponies & the castle (I think the same ponies were on the glass as well, but I only really remember that Fizzy was on it so I debated whether I wanted it or not.)

I recently won an eBay auction from an international seller. The listing said they ship worldwide so I figured it was ok for me to bid. After the auction was over I paid for my item. The next day I received a message from the seller telling me I needed to send an additional 10euros to there email address because of shipping costs.

I've been occasionally selling on eBay for a while & it has always been my understanding that it's against eBay's policy to ask for a buyer to pay more than is posted in the listing. Asking me to pay them outside of eBay is also a violation. In the past if I didn't calculate my shipping right I never assumed the buyer had to pay for my error. Also, when I'm looking to bid on things I usually take the shipping cost into account of what I'm willing to pay.

Am I just blowing this out of proportion? I've never had someone ask me to pay more & it just seems odd to me.

Introductions / Hi, it's nice to meet all of you.

Hello, I'm Princess Fizzy. I'm from WI and I've been collecting mlp for about 9 or 10yrs now.

I had so many ponies as a child & unfortunately there came a point when I thought I had outgrown toys. I only kept my SS Lickety Split and got rid of the others. Then several years ago I ran across a mip mail order cotton candy & Started collecting again.

I've been on the Trading Post for awhile, but this is my first time venturing on to the arena. I'm kind of shy so Im not involved in social media much. I was so thrilled that the pony fair has been in Schaumburg the last couple years & I was finally able to get there.

Anyway, I'm rambling so I'll stop. I'm so happy to be here and I look forward to meeting new pony people & growing my collection a bit more.
