All the junk is gone from my kitchen :freak:

Now to replace it with healthier alternatives. I want to get back on smoothies and eat more veggies and fruits, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh homemade soups. No more pasta. I can't give up pizza... but I don't have to buy a full sized one. Red Baron makes singles and they're fine with me. Or I can make my own! Even better :P

I started drinking Pepsi again at some point too. I was so addicted to the stuff in high school. Sometimes I wouldn't eat, I'd just drink Pepsi and smoke cigarettes. Ew. No wonder I grew up to be so unhealthy. Anyway, I need to get off it, there's so much sugar. I was doing really well only having to have a few Dr. Pepper on hand before. I can do that again.

Good on you for removing the junk BC! :cheer:

This year has been a struggle for me weight-wise, but I’m getting back on track for March. I think journaling has helped, knowing that I don’t want to write down any negatives. I’ve been trying to go for walks, but sometimes I really feel like I’m forcing myself to go. Actually, I’m procrastinating taking my walk right now.  :lookround:

Reading my last post in this thread, I haven't quit pasta or Pepsi. I have been eating better in general.

I totally understand BC...

Sorry my last post was like .... :what:

I also need to start eating healthy again. I just don't know the best way to go about doing that. I know I said that getting a nutritionist was out of the question because its literally $500 per time. (Unless I'm diabetic then its free / Which is not an option for me)

I got a book from my grandmother, its the mayo clinic diet book with journal... I'm still doing the diet part... so I haven't read the full book the part that on how to keep your weight steady after ya diet. anyways I feel like sharing what it has to say in the book for those who want to lose weight for there goals.

the health book talks about breaking 5 habbits and adding 10 new habbits

Habit 1 add a healthy breakfast (yogurt, Fruit, use whole grain bread,
Habit 2 Eat fruit & Vegetables (Basically snack on this between meals)
Habit 3 eat Whole grains & brown rice (personally can't do this)
Habit 4 Healthy fats like olive oil, avocado or vegetable oil
Habit 5 Exercise

Break these habits
Break 1 No TV while eating or computer use or Video game use.
Break 2 No Sugar (Ice Cream, Candy & others) - other than natural fruit...
Break 3 No Snacks Exept for Fruit or Vegetables
Break 4 Moderate Meat low fat dairy
Break 5 No eating out unless it can fit your diet plan.

Add 5 more bonus Habbits
new habit 1 Keep Food records write everything you eat
new habit 2 keep activity records
new habit 3 exersise more aim for 30 or 60 min a day
new habit 4 eat real food not canned or frozen
new habit 5 write your daily goals (what motivates you every day)

I started this in march but i haven't really kept up with it as I should so now i'm starting new with the book and journal.

Didn't think I'd join this thread, but since about the 24th of June I've been using an outdoor gym in the local park. To get there I walk from my home to the green across the road, then along the old railway track path, which leads directly to the park. There's a pond at the bottom, a play area at the top, & a scout hut in the middle, with a recycling point across from that. The gym is between the pond & the scout hut, & to get there takes me about 5-10 minutes' walk. After using the gym equipment, I walk round a garden behind it, then round the pond, before returning down the track back home.
I go 5-6 days a week, so I do get breaks now & then. Sometimes I get really tired (rarely), but that only kills a couple of days. I've noticed: 1/ I get hungrier from using the gym, 2/ the meal deal in the local Co-op now has fruit snacks & fruit drinks as well as the fizzy drinks & crisps, so I get them when I get my meal deal with messages, 3/ I have definitely been getting stronger, & feeling the work on my muscles, & 4/ I've lost a whole stone so far. So simply adding the exercise has helped my weight decrease. I hope I also manage to get a bit slimmer & less uncomfortable when I lie down in bed, which can get sore with my heavy weight.
The equipment works by using the bodyweight of the user as the weight, so while I don't always manage to go the whole way with some stuff (pushing with my arms in particular), both my increasing strength & my decreasing weight will help.
I've also started doing some exercises inside, like a few sets of squats, some bends, some lie-down exercises on my bed, some wall push-ups, etc; just simple little things I can do without leaving the house or if I feel too tired.
In between the walks, the gym use, & the home-cercises, I'm getting there.
Btw you lot are doing amazing, even if you don't think you are xxx

I’m trying to move my bum again. I’m having such a hard time doing that with this heat. At least I haven’t been going PSL-crazy like I did last year. I’ve only had 1 so far. I’ll count that as a win(ish). :lookround:

I finally hit my goal weight! :) It has taken a LONG time to shed the last few pounds, but I’ve been weighing in at or under my goal weight for about two weeks straight now, so I feel confident it’s off for good!

It’s taken me over 3 years, but I’ve now lost about 50 pounds from my heaviest weight. Even though it was a really slow process I feel like I’ve learned so much along the way and have shifted to an overall healthier lifestyle. I still indulge in junk sometimes, don’t get me wrong! But I think that’s why I was able to stick to my “diet “. I didn’t restrict anything, I just was more mindful of how much I was eating. I think it’s important to still enjoy the foods you love sometimes, even if they aren’t healthy.

You all are doing amazing! No matter how long you’ve been at it, don’t be discouraged! I’ve had a lot of ups and downs along the way, but if you stick to it and get back on the horse when you fall off, you’ll get to where you want to be eventually! It’s not a race, so be kind to yourself and don’t worry if it’s taking you longer than you’d hoped!
