It's been a while since I've posted here!

I went to our local weekly flea market today with only a couple of quarters in my pocket- lo and behold I found this sitting on a stack for only 25 cents! It's in pretty nice condition, no tears or crayon marks! I can scan it if anyone wants me to- not sure if it's a common one or what.

The stencil is a neat idea!  Just keep in mind that pony butts are not flat so it can be hard to get the stencil flat.  Do you have a pic of the bait?

Thanks! I actually got a quote for the stencil last night and while it was only $3 for materials and lasercutting, the shipping was 8 dollars! So I'll try to make my own stencils I guess.

Here's my bait, she's got some cancer spots and some kind of yellow stain goin' on.

Any tips on getting that neck seam to look a little less terrible?

Also! I have her tail still, it's dry-ish but would likely curl well if anyone wants to get it. Just pay shipping :)

Customs / Symbol Size?
« on: November 06, 2014, 09:21:50 PM »
Hello all,

I have a question. I'm making a custom of my fanpony out of a baity Sprinkles and was going to have an online lasercutting service make an airbrushing stencil for the symbol so I don't have to attempt cutting tiny pieces with an xacto knife.

Question is, how big do you think I should have it cut? I don't have a ruler precise enough to measure how big the G1's symbols are.

This is the design I need cut:

Has anyone airbrushed symbols on using a stencil? How did it go?

Wow! Score!! Lemon treats is lovely...did you try a flat iron or the boiling water method to help her frazzed strands? I've had great results using both, and she's so valuable, rehairing would be sad...all of them look like you put so much love into them  fantastic!

Thanks!

I used a flat iron and plastic curlers from Sally's Beauty Supply. They're so cheap!

I really am considering rehairing her, though, since it's so dry.

Thanks again everyone! I finally got the rest photographed and ready. Let's go!

This hair was a NIGHTMARE. Egh. It's still really dry, perhaps I'll rehair her someday.

That hair. Never again.

I always wanted my own Stripes. She's so pretty.

Brilliant Bloom

This one was so DIRTY! Her insides seem clean, though, so that's good.

Tinsel ponies aren't my thing, so I'm giving this one to my best friend :)

AND LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST...

Wigwam

What a handsome boy! He seems clean as a whistle, so I left his head seal intact. Aside from two questionable spots he is perfect.

I bought a pack of curlers at Sally's Beauty Supply yesterday and have been going nuts curling the hair on my ponies. The results have been spectacular- much better than the straw and bobby pin method.

Here's Scoops and Surprise showing off their new, fluffy 'dos!

Brilliant Bloom and Wigwam have had a nice spa day.

So, show me ponies with curls! Fluffy, ringlets, or Pinkie-tier frizz- it doesn't matter. :)

Thank you everyone! I'm glad they all cleaned up so nicely too. I only got one baity one (Blossom) but her hair is nice, at least.

Oh wow!  Beautiful clean up job!  What fun! I'm so jealous you got Speedy!  I'm finishing up my TE collection and Speedy is on my list.

I never expected these colors to work together, but she really is adorable. Good luck finding her! (I'd sell you mine, but she has eye rubs and isn't perfect condition)

Summer is here, and so are the garage/yard/boot sales!

My friend Jae scored all of these for me at a quarter a piece. I was so excited to see many of my favorites in the bunch, all of which I do not own yet!

So, without further adieu, let's go:

SPEEDY

Hey guys,  does anyone know how I can get my sava data from the game and put it in a new version on android? Im having problems updating.  :(

You should be able to copy and paste all the files from the gameloft folder, if I'm not mistaken.

UGH, this is so annoying!! I had my game shut down unexpectedly (it had one of those 'your system went through an error, some game data may have been lost' screens after I invited my friend into my town), and it sent me back in time THREE MONTHS. Three months?! What kind of error is THAT, did Doc Brown get into my game or something!? :P

I finally just said 'to hell with it' and skipped ahead to the correct date, now I'm getting all this passive-aggressive 'ohhhh, where did you goooo' junk, my gardens all died, weeds everywhere, you name it. And one of my townsfolk moved away, and some new gal moved in! It wasn't even a purposeful time change, and now I'm having to deal with a video game that apparently thinks it's my boyfriend. Clingy, much? >:I

/vent

Oof, that's rough. If it happens again be sure to get the beautiful ordinance enacted before TT!

Your art.. it is so cute  Are you on Instagram or Tumblr or anything? I must follow you somewhere. And good luck to you as well. :)

Thank you! I'm kinda dead on tumblr but I post frequently to my deviantart (mellowhen) and furaffinity (kittygurl521).

I'd like to be an illustrator. I wish I could go backward and tell my 18 year old self to get into a nice art school and not pursue the business management degree I'm almost finished with.  Staying at home and drawing for money would be sweeeet. Well, I imagine so anyway.

I'm kinda having the opposite problem. I'm done with art school but have no idea how to market myself or even figure out prices for my work @_@ My Dad is always picking on me for doing 2 character illustrations for 40USD

I'm not sure how I feel about hacking the game. If Gameloft can tell people have been doing it that sounds like a good way to put an end to your fun really fast. :/ I can't stop anyone who really wants to, but it doesn't feel right, but I am interested in others' feelings on the matter.

I use it because I was this close to just uninstalling the app out of frustration. Everything is so expensive and 50 gems is not the same as hacking it truly and giving yourself 99999 gems or something. I think of it as a small boost and it really makes the whole experience more fun without taking the challenge out of the gameplay.
