What ails my Posey?
« on: August 02, 2012, 12:02:42 PM »
I just started collecting G1's and I got Posey the other day who is amazing ecept she has these two kinda pinky orange spots on her NDS. They seriously look like misplaced blush. I took a picture incase anyone knows what it is and if I can fix it.

you can see one is towards her belly and the other is closer to her knee.

I'm going to hazard a guess at either regrind or highlighter. Easiest way to find out is to pop her head off and take a peek inside.. if it's rust, she's gonna need some deep cleaning :c

From the pic it looks like it could possibly be "saddle sores," where someone left an accessory on her for too long, or she was stored next to a pony or another toy and the color bled onto her. I've never tried it, but I think if that is the case the recommended way to fix is sunfading. There are tutorials around here written by people with way more experience than me on how to do that.

As others have said its either regrind and a break down in the plastic - which is not fixable. Or its staining from plastic or fabric or paint which have been pressed against her and for that sun fading is the best bet.

I would try sun fading her to see if that solves the problem.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
