Ok I gave in and took Gusty's head off :P so here are the pictures of inside.
She doesn't look like a re-hair to me as a lot of the ponies heads I have taken off to wash have looked like this My So Soft Gusty looks exactly like this.

It does have the woven bit just hard to see in the pictures have to push the hair out of the way to see it  :P

So what do you think?

So my Baby Gusty finally arrived today after just over 3 weeks of waiting

I am a bit confused about her as she has a Vivid Orange streak in her hair instead of a Redy Pink, I have looked on mylittlewiki & the pics on there look like what I would expect with the Redy pink streak

So could some one tell me if this is a variant or a factory mistake or something? It doesn't look like fading to me as she is in a really good condition & very white. Her eyes also look like an Aqua blue to me rather than baby blue but I guess that is a close enough colour :p hehe

Here are some pics:

And here she is next to my Gusty mum who I de-flocked not long ago, so you can see the colour difference in the streak

Wow, that is really strange. o.O Is is possible her red streak was re-haired with that orange color? If you look inside her head you should be able to tell if the orange is re-haired or if it was factory.

Yeah i wondered that but her head is stuck down slight bit open at the back but hardly anything. So don't really want to take her head out. Just been holding her up to the window and you can see where the hairline is its tight to her head like it should be. So confused lol. Doesn't look like a rehair hmmmn

It is very possible that it could be a genuine variant.  However, if you ever plan to sell her as a variation, it would be necessary to remove her head to determine whether or not she was rehaired.

Gorgeous, nonetheless!

That's pretty cool. But, yes, to know for sure you'd have to remove her head. I also understand hesitance to do that. I prefer my ponies factory sealed when possible and hate to break that neck seal.

I wouldn't unseal her head either, and hopefully she is a variant but I do know that that particular color of hair can change to orange if it's exposed to certain cleaning things, especially like oxyclean... so it could be that the seller maybe washed her and it faded? I have just heard this happening to Sugarberry and it created basically an "orange variation" of both her hair and body symbols, but since those symbols are purple they wouldn't be subjected to the same kind of fading as the red hair/red paint...

Just a thought! But she's cool no matter what she is - variant or just discoloration!

Ooo I hope she is a variant hehe makes all the waiting worth while even more

I was trying to take pictures in the sunlight so you could see through her head but that didn't work lol. Just been examining the streak again it is a even colour all the way through, I would think if it was a cleaning product mistake it would be slightly uneven? Same if it is fading that's why I'm confused :P

I won't unseal her head for now as I hate doing this :P & I don't no if I want to sell her as she is in really good condition very white & super cute.
Wouldn't even no how much she is worth?

She was a bit of an impulse buy for me hehe she isn't on my want list but when I saw her just thought ooo want lol. Lucky I like orange :p didn't really look at the picture properly when I got her :p
Now I am just gunna have to get her original version to go with her now  ^.^

I will take some better pictures of her tomorrow once I tame her few fly away hairs she has Padded Envelope hair atm  (she was in there for over 3 wks :p)

My guess would be a rehair or variant, I have a bbe gusty that I was trying to fade a mark on and her stripe chanced from the reddish color to a kind of pink so fading is out of the question there :)

I think Sugarberry's hair is a slightly more orangey pink to start with (from what I can see in the pictures haven't got one yet :P) kind of like Lollipops hair by the looks of it (has orangey pink tone), Gusty's hair when I put it next to Lollipops is a slightly deeper tone (redy, pink, purple tone), just been tlking to mum about all the tones as she is better at all of that :P

Really don't wanna take her head off hehe, but if i decide to give in to my curiosity I shall let you all know  ^.^
