Have you ever had one of those moments when you think to yourself...."wow, I really am a pony addict!" I had one today while I was in the middle of McDonalds.
"I know I am a pony addict when I actually got on my knees on the floor in McDonalds, in my expensive dry clean only pants, to help the manager yank open the MLP display to rip off the display ponies not yet available in that store." :blush: Rarity, Cheerilee, Lily Blossom and Pinkie Pie are *totally* worth the dry cleaning bill.
I can't be the only one who has had this kind of 'a-ha' moments?! Please tell me yours.

You know your a pony addict when you feel the need to own every MLP item out there even if you won't use them all. For example, I got the G4 Pinkie Pie toddler toothpaste & toothbrush even though I'll never use them (at least not for myself, I may eventually use them to fix tail rust).

..Or when you debate to yourself whether you should buy something for you (clothes, new glasses, new shoes you need, a haircut, etc.) or a grail pony. :drunk:

When you actually ARE excited when a co-worker's granddaughter is playing with her McPony. My co-worker told me this super exciting story of his granddaughter playing with her pony (That's really all there was to the story) and it actually made me happy! LOL!
Michelle, you took the ponies out of the display? They let you do that? I assumed since the promotion JUST started, the display was off-limits. I've just been forcing my family to eat at McDonalds until I have enough toys! And you're right, completely worth a dry-cleaning bill.

I always thought it was quite common to refer to that part of your hair as a forelock, I know my family always did when I was growing up (I didn't hear "fringe" as a kid until I started school, if memory serves). I did spend some of my childhood growing up around horses, but never actually heard the term applied to them (it was always just "mane"), only to us two-legs :)

You're looking in the middle of you're completely empty bedroom, which has been stripped because of a remodel, and your first thought is not that the room needs a bed or furniture or curtains but. . . "This room could use some ponies." :)
Guess who has 8 ponies displayed in her newly redecorated bedroom but still doesn't have a proper bed? :)

Yes I totally did! The place was kind of busy too and a bunch of customers were complaining about their food. I think the manager was a little exasperated from dealing with grouchy people, so I was really nice to him. I offered to look through the bin of toys myself to look for ponies, but he said they didn't have them yet. Then I asked if I could have the ones from the display and he said sure! He and I pried open the display and I literally pulled off the ponies I wanted. I paid only about $13 for all of them:). This was almost as good as the time the McDonalds workers GAVE my kids the ponies from the G3.5 display.

Inside of an hour... her eyes are popped out... apoxie in place... and jewels inserted into those holes!
Yup! TE Baby Gusty will be done soon!!! :devious:
Poor BBE Baby Ribbon, and the other BBE Baby Gusty are eyeing me suspiciously now... worried that they'll be next... :whoa: :lol:

When random people in your area know you are the pony girl. Seriously! I have had people walk up to me and say "Hey, aren't you that little girl that used to come to my booth at the flea market and buy all my ponies?" They can't believe that after all theses years I am still collecting. I don't even remember who these people are sometimes.

On my way to work on Friday or Saturday, I was passing by a yard sale and was mentally expressing great disinterest in it because they didn't look like they had ponies......or Lion King stuff. It occurred to me how obsessed with ponies I am now because before, it'd be Lion King stuff I'd be keeping an eye out for at yard sales. =p
It's also recently become harder for me not to be open about being into MLP. I have my Sunny Daze wallet that rides around in my pocket, my little sketchbook I take everywhere has G3 stickers all over the front cover plus I doodle ponies in it and now my bag is sporting the McDonald's Fluttershy keychain/backpack clip on one of the shoulder straps.

This is what I was going to say- I'm in that situation right now. My friend found the most ADORABLE owl-shaped measuring cups and asked if I want in on the order she's placing... but with shipping it's enough for me to get a nice pony or a cheaper custom from one of the artists I love. But the measuring cups would look cuter in the kitchen... WHAT DO I DO?!!

I'm majoring in English, and last night I needed some MLA help but ended up typing out "MLP" instead!
I am not shy about the ponies at all and lots of people ask about them all the time. Many people my age will post pictures of their kids or pets on Facebook... I have pictures of the ponies. Lots of people actually watch my albums for updates! It's actually very flattering and sweet...

You go into depression fits just because the show isn't airing in your area, even though it's still available on Youtube, and you actually go to bed early so you can wake up on time (which is an ungodly hour on Sunday morning) to download the episode off youtube out of fear of it getting pulled by fake takedowns from trolls in a few hours.
And oh, you still download episodes that you think you wouldn't like and only don't watch it.
Aside from that, the only thing that passes around in your mind are how to use ponies to solve everyday problems...

...I had a moment today where I realized how much ponies affect my brain.
I went to grab my stuffed Panda that I've had for.. Pretty much forever and asked my boyfriend if he could give me the pony..
He stared at me for a good 30 seconds before cracking up. I just said "I don't regret saying it now! Maybe he wants to BE a pony and play with them all, but he can't because he'd just knock them over and feel bad!" and of course he just kept laughing. :drunk:

Omg I had a moment last weekend...
..when you go to a newly opened toy store, find one of 2 ponies you're looking for on the shelves and are SUPER excited you might find the 2nd one... only to see it between the hands of a little girl. Thing is, you start PLOTTING how to distract the parents, swap that pony for another one, and RUN to the cashier!!
All that is true story, except the fact the whole plot never happened and I actually ended up in the cashier line just behind them. It's a very mixed feeling seeing the pony you've been looking for EVERYWHERE being scanned in front of you for someone else o_o. I just thought "I was beaten by the actual audience MLP is aimed at..." LOL. Oh well, the kid had good taste XD .
