G1 mlp comics: Was Minty in any of them?

I am just curious if there were any issues with Minty in them, I'd love to find them!

No...I dont believe she appeared in any comic...in fact her only real solid appearance in UK literature I think is in the fact file where she is of course the wrong colour! She doesnt even crop up in any of the UK books I can think of...


Edit:- I dont want to overly judge Hasbro UK in the 80s as I dont think it would be relevant to children - but you never know what decisions are made at what level - but maybe a green and white pony with shamrocks as symbols wasnt the most popular image in those times in British publications [!!!]

You never know, Hathorcat! I wouldn't put it past them thinking that way. Actually, Minty (and Bluebell) didn't have a widespread release in the UK... I'm not even sure if she was sold any way other than the left over MOs that found their way over here. Cotton Candy and Blossom were released with the next set, Butterscotch had her Gymnkana and Snuzzle the Grooming Parlour (and maybe another offer too), but nothing like that for Minty and Bluebell

Of course, that doesn't normally stop Hasbro UK, since  the comics were littered with ponies not sold here *shakes fist*

ah yes, I remember you saying that about Minty not being released here.. its a shame though, I can't believe that even though Minty was part of the orriginal 6 she isn't even on any US merch either! O.o

I'm confused.

Minty WAS released here and available in shops, the flat foot version on a standard card. She was my first ever pony, and my mum and brother got her in the local Toymaster store (now sadly gone). There will be pictures of me getting and opening her somewhere in my parents house.

Sadly, I agree she's not in any of the comics. :-(

I was referring more to the CF version rather than the FF version, as I don't know about their distribution at all, but I should have mentioned that, sorry She is still less widespread than the rest of her set in the CF versions though, for the reasons detailed above.

Thats cool information about her actual release Lady G! I didnt know she was so limited...although when I think back me and my 2 best friends had 2 Butterscotches, 2 Blossoms and 3 Cotton Candies between us and not a sign of the other 3 that makes more sense now!
