Off Topic / Re: Do you Facebook?« on: October 29, 2016, 01:46:33 PM »
Yes, I do FB and IG as my main social networking sites. I have lots of friends in various locations, so it's a great way to keep in contact! My family isn't big into social media, so I still need to call them. But that's nice too.
I don't like Twitter, and Snapchat feels awkward, so I don't use those. 4
Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Re: Pokémon Go! Come talk to me about it?« on: August 11, 2016, 09:47:04 PM »
I'm sooooo new to the Pokemon playing. I downloaded it about a week and a half ago, and I'm surprised how much I like it! I now have it going on my morning runs to hatch my eggs, lol. So far I'm only up to level 11 and haven't evolved anything yet.

Off Topic / Re: How do you take your caffeine?« on: February 26, 2016, 12:05:47 PM »
Last year I gave up soda (I would have one can of diet soda a day at lunch). Most of the time though I tried to make sure they were of the caffeine-free sort.
Now I just have a soda on occasion (like when we go out to dinner every other week). My only other source of caffeine was chocolate, but 2 1/2 weeks ago, in an effort to lose my baby weight from my youngest kid (who turns 5 this year), I cut out all refined sugar. It was hard the first two days, but now, it's not so bad. I now enjoy food a lot more, and I've lost 5 pounds. So yay! 7

I've kept off the initial 22 pounds I lost last March, so now I'm motivated to lose the last 30 pounds.
Exercise isn't my problem (I've exercised 6 days a week since I was in college, so yeah. It's a solid habit by now!) Last week I cut out all refined sugar. The first two days were the hardest, but after that, not so much. And I've lost 3 pounds, so this kick start feels great! 8

Yay! As a recent transplant to WA, I'm excited to go! And one of my longtime friends lives in Maple Valley, so I may be able get her to come with me.

Good luck with your search! We just moved up to WA over the summer, but we moved to Woodinville, which is about 20 miles northeast of Seattle.

Off Topic / Re: Yesterday I got a Snapchat tutorial from a 10 year old« on: February 09, 2016, 07:02:03 PM »
I just recently signed up for a Snapchat account as well, and I don't get the point of it either. I mean if I want someone to know I'm thinking about them or need to chat, I'll send a text, call, or email. And I can send pictures with texts or emails. But I guess there is that whole disappearing thing that Snapchat was known and popular for.

Off Topic / Re: Do you have a favourite Airline?« on: January 17, 2016, 05:35:49 PM »
The most I've been on is Southwest and Delta. They're fine for shorter flights - like 2 hrs or less. Traveling to Europe I've been on Air France and Continental. Those were fine too.
Haven't really developed a fav. But we are planning on going to Australia in December for my SIL's wedding, so I'm open to what airlines are good for getting there! What I really need to get is TSA pre-check. 12

I want to see the clear, aqua blue waters of the Caribbean.

Off Topic / Re: The Good Dinosaur "shouldn't be watched by anyone under the age of 15"« on: December 17, 2015, 12:00:44 PM »
Is that the zootopia one? At least I think that's what it's called. I saw previews and it looked cute.
I actually liked Shrek 2 because I loved the Fairy Godmother and Prince Charming characters. I thought they were hilarious! As far as Pixar, the only one I haven't seen is Planes. I do like most of the Pixar movies - for the most part I do like that their stories are well-written, even if they do have a more organic process to their scripts. 14
Off Topic / Re: Ugg vs. off brand?« on: December 16, 2015, 12:05:49 PM »
I love mine because they keep my feet warm. I'm even considering getting another pair in a different color.
But they run big. I normally wear an 8, but in Ugg sizes I wear a 7, if that helps with sizing. 15

He's my mom's first cousin. Yes. His dad and my mom's mother are siblings. I've met him a few times at family reunions and funerals. Before he had his own animation studio, he did work for Disney, and he also has a brother (who goes by Toby) who was also an illustrator and animator. But sadly Toby passed away a few years ago. |
