Topics like these make me so scared to sell ponies!!  So I don't do it very often, even though I keep buying eBay lots for one or two ponies and promising myself I'll sell the others...  I hope all of you find the ponies you are missing, and that they aren't too expensive to replace either! Big hugs!

there was a customizer here - badjuju - that did really cool dreadlock ponies so short answer is yes you can do dreads on ponies with synthetic hair basically as a minature version of doing dread extensions for people

Yes, great memory! I was thinking of her too, but I could only remember the 'juju' part!  I have also seen people emulate dreads using yarn, since on a pony head it looks more like braids or dreads, depending on the yarn texture! Might be worth looking into!

Oh boy, this is such a fun photo!! Let's see what I can remember! 1. Is there a giant Wysteria, the size of the big girlies towards the front, I can sort of see her nudged in there? While I DO believe there was a giant Wysteria made (I have a memory of a print ad of her from some kind of Australian toy store, am I imagining that?), I think she may actually be in the back row, underneath Minty. I think you may be seeing giant Twinkle Twirl instead, and then right behind her with the more red-toned purple is Toola Roola? 2. HOW big are each of these ponies? The jumbos AND the pyjama ponies? Or is the Sweetie Belle pictured a different matter entirely? I believe they're generally called the 3-footer ponies, since they're around 3 feet tall? I believe the smaller Sweetie Belle is the proper 'pajama pal' size, which is roughly half the size? I've never had one in person, only the MO Frilly Frocks, so I can't be completely sure! 3. What the heck is going on with both of the websites? I can at least update MLW inaccuracies... Heck if I know that part! I don't have any dusty memories to call on for those!

Flitter that's a great point! I know that's kind of a big hurdle, especially if you're more of a casual user - and with the death of Photobucket, it's like, where do I easily upload photos? Is Imgur still a thing? Probably! But I don't know how to use it!  I usually 'cheat' and upload all my photos on Tumblr, but since I'm posting there... I usually don't remember to crosspost. I know it's only semi-related, but I saw an interesting tumblr post that said that image hosting is part of what makes starting up any kind of new blogging/social media platform really expensive and difficult, compared to the old-school forum days. It costs a lot of money to have your own server or to pay someone else to host it, so there's far fewer sites getting started in someone's garage, for example. So it sucks not being able to easily upload photos, but it is nice that the Arena is (hopefully) cheaper to run without it!

I think it's a personal choice of course, whatever makes you feel most comfortable! But I've seen way too many 'who made this? who's the artist on this, there's no mark' posts to risk leaving my ponies totally blank! I like to leave my name under the hoof, as well the date completed, and sometimes I'll put the pony's name if I've picked one! Usually they get a little heart too, just for fun! I've also seen people sign on the belly, and I think Uffjulieta (misspelling her name I think) would sign their non-display side as I recall!
It's funny, but even a few years out, I start forgetting who made what pony, and so I'll often see a pony I recognize in the 'who made this' posts, and I just ... go blank. Even with very popular customizers! So famous or not, I think it's always a good idea to sign your work, even if it's just a screenname!

Very interesting topics covered here! I think everyone makes very good points! I do worry about the advent of social media, but only inasmuch as I worry about the advent of the internet. Like, yes, it's not great that so many young children suddenly have the ability to shout to a million strangers all of their personal information! But I feel like that's something that happened on the internet in general, not necessarily due to Twitter or TikTok. There is a special strain of misinformation that goes around on each different SM platform, but I also feel like that would happen regardless if it was on a forum or SM or AIM. I do hate some of the SM trends (like when pranking became so popular due to social media stars doing it, eugh!) but I do think it's also probably just reflective of human nature. We have better methods of communication now, so it stands to reason that social memes and behaviors will be passed around more rapidly now, for better or worse. I do think it's also nice that so many 'atypical' kids can find each other now; it used to be you might be the only kid like you in your school, and the bullying could be crippling. Now, even with the dangers of SM, you can find other kids like yourself on the internet, and know you're not alone. That's pretty awesome, even with all of SMs other flaws and dangers. Personally, I really love forums! I'm glad the MLPArena is still here, and I wish there were more forums hanging on in general! But one thing that does get me down is sort of the speed of communication here, and the relative ease of being notified. I can wait days for a reply to a thread, and sometimes by then I've forgotten what the topic was we were discussing! I tend to have posting bursts where I'll post every day for a week, and then go back into a sort of dormant read-only mode. I'm still here, I'm just not really joining in, even if mentally I think 'ooh, good point there'! (But I know I vastly prefer it to Discord's '500 messages over 20 minutes' format, where missing a day of nonstop reading means you've fallen behind forever!!) The other downside is, if I'm commenting to someone on IG or Tumblr, I'll get a little pop-up the instant they reply on my phone! I might not check the MLPArena at the exact moment someone replies, and so I might not see a reply for days - or even a week, if I go dormant again. That's a bit of a downer! And then you feel like a heel bumping an ancient topic just to be like, 'Yeah I think Pinkie Pie is overrated too!'

Oh, I did forget one! I’d love a super dark reddish purple - I think the dark purples Shimmerlocks has now are more blue toned, but I haven’t checked since my last order. I love purple!
