Draw Together Dec 16-Dec 22 ~Felicidades, Merry Treats & G3 Candy Cane~

Merry Christmas! We are getting close, so we've selected some solid holiday-themed ponies for this week and next week. Up first- G1 Merry Treats or G1 Felicidades from Argentina, and their G3 friend, Candy Cane! (Shout out to sourdoughstomper for bringing these gals to my attention here: http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,375207.0.html )

I was going to save Merry Treats for next week, but she's BASICALLY the same pony as Felicidades, lol. So paint one or the other, or both! Hope your palettes have plenty of red and green this week!

I really love Merry Treat and forgot I have these pixels I made. I'll do another piece too for the draw together thread, hopefully.

My first Draw Together!  I hope to do more because I need to get better at drawing ponies from scratch.  Too bad there isn't a g4 pony option, because I can only draw in the g4 style.  So I just drew Candy Cane in g4 style.

WHEEEEE!  I LOVE CHRISTMAS! 

ponycake - I think your background is delightful.  I hate drawing them as well.    I love the way you did the strands of lights on the tree!  And your pixels are adorable.

UrocyonFox - I really like that you took the pony's actual pose and gave it life in your drawing.  She looks so sweet. 

Moonbreeze - I love the G2 babies.  She looks so happy to be out in the snow!  And the breath clouds are a nice touch.

Roogna - I like the wreath with candles on Felicidades' head.  I hope that it's enough light for them to find their way! 

Dainty - Merry Treats makes a great baby!  That garland around her is super cute too.

Uninu - I love her curls!  That's a pose that I really struggle to make look lifelike and you really captured the proportions and movement perfectly. 

babyblueducky - How cute!  I love her big bright eyes and the bold colors.

sweetpop - Adding the colored hooves was a nice touch.  It gives her a kick of personality!

LyraHeartsrtings - She looks cute in the G4 style!  There's nothing wrong with a bit of generation swapping.    I typically just draw ponies in my own style, which is sort of a mixture of every generation by now.  The more you draw, the more comfortable you will be with trying new ponies and new styles.
