Japanese MLP:FIM Plushies, getto da-ze!!

As an Applejack enthusiast and mostly lurking Arena member in Japan, I've been excited for Japan's MLP plush releases in July and August for a while. I was worried since I could not find them anywhere for sale on auction or any site, so I went to the few locations in Tokyo promising to have them so I could catch them myself! I had to go to two different locations to get the two versions.

July's "Nuigurumi" and "Mascot" Set 1 ponies are Fluttershy, Twilight and Applejack. The other three Mane Six come in August.

I went the first day these came in stock for the nuigurumi ("plush") set. I only caught Applejack since I am not good at the game they had her set up in. The next day I went to get the little mascot set at Tokyo Dome. Good thing I was not going for Twilight since she was gone already after only one day! I caught the remaining Fluttershy and Applejacks.

Here they are compared to the Funrise Applejacks, the only other official pony plush I have right now.

Do you know the exact place you found em? O.O I have a friend in the Navy stationed in Japan I was hoping I'd be able to ask him to pick some up for me if I can tell him where to look

the sites i linked have a list of locations! but there are very few places carrying them, it seems. there were only five in tokyo D: and he'd have to catch them from a machine, they are not sold in stores.

I want the Fluttershys! Wish they had made Rarity, too.

By the way, you must have spent a LOT of time at those machines to catch them. It takes serious skills to even win something from those machines. Congrats!

From a machine you say? You mean like those big toy vending machines where you had to snatch toys with a metal claw? Ugh... I really feel you, dear. I remember I used to get so frustrated with these because the joystick controlling the movement of this claw often felt so stiff, which made controlling the claw so awkward. And the claw itself was really crappy at times, not getting the grip on the toy you want and such. That and there's a time limit, which only made the game more frustrating... ugh...

I'm surprised they still have those in Japan, and that they still make toys for them... Here where I live, I haven't seen one in years.

Anyway, kudos to you for catching yourself these lovelies.

UFO catcher machines are VERY popular in Japan.

hehe, I was VERY good at those claw machines. It's a game of skill but you can't be picky about what toy you get. The plushie is way cute!

I had only actually seen in finished form the tag RD, Twilight and Rarity. That's great that they are turning up.
