Oh, I have a question regarding Gusty actually - I hope you don't mind me highjacking your thread like this But I grew up with Gusty, she was my sisters childhood pony and she is exactly like this one, except she doesn't have glitter on her symbols. She never had any glitter there. I was just wondering if anyone know which version that is, as I live in Norway and I always assumed that the non-glitter version of Gusty was the Scandinavian version *facepalm* Is the non-glitter version the UK version then? Or am I totally off? She was bought in Norway in the mid-eighties.

Hmm, I haven't used oxiclean myself, but as I know this is a very common cleaning detergent for little ponies I would say it is totally safe to soak him in oxiclean. What I use to do when cleaning my ponies is soaking them completely in water and whatever detergent I am using, and let them soak there for some time. For the more tricker spots I will use a cotton ball with some detergent on (or a q-tip when I need to be more precise with my cleaning - like around the symbols and eyes), and rub the dirt off. Works like a charm! You can also use magic erasers if you feel like you don't get it all off - but be VERY careful around the symbols and eyes (and daddy bright bouquet here has a lot of those symbols...!) I use cold water, and no - you shouldn't have it boiling. Boiling will be very though on your little pony's plastic and should only be a method used when you absolutely have too (like to prevent cancer from spreading). If you want to use warm water that would be fine too I guess, whatever you prefer

invaderhorizongreen: Congrats on getting her! It is so great when you get one with lovely white hair isn't it? They are so beautiful! relcelestia: Aww, she is a sweetie! Jenny would be awesome in all poses I think! I just love the simplicity of her! If she were a uni I would squeel! And thank you so much for complementing my photography too - much, much appreciated!! Edit: I do hope you all see the middle picture now - I don't know why it was private, but it should be public and for all to see now!

I prefer mint any day! I wouldn't pay that much for MOC, especially since you actually never can guarantee that the plastic hasn't degraded the pony over time. I have seen too many ponies being discolored for staying on card too long Buying a mint pony, you at least know that the price you are paying is worth it! If I ever were to buy a MOC it would probably be to discard it... sooo, since I know there are a lot of collectors out there who really would love to buy MOC ponies, I don't

Thank you - both of you!
I love the real colored ponies too, zora. Jenny has been my secret little grail for years, so I was thrilled when I finally found her and had the money to spend too! She is a real stunner in real life. She makes me smile every time I look at her!

I am actually quite picky when it comes to the ponies I buy second-hand, or I need to feel the "don't worry - I will come to your rescue"-feeling. But quite a lot of the ponies in my collection do have imperfections, and not only minor. Those are the ponies from my childhood (as almost all my ponies are childhood ponies). I played with them - a lot! And therefore, they look it too. I love them with their imperfections though, but I'm not sure if I would be quite as forgiving if they were others childhood ponies. After all, I love them because they are in my memories of a wonderful time. Yeah, so I might be pickier than most maybe.... I'm not any good at restoring though, so maybe if I was I wouldn't mind imperfections.

EDIT: I don't know why I didn't post this right away, but I would love to see other Jennys out there! Please feel free to post your pictures too I've had this girl for some time now, but never had the chance to show her off in here. I just had a little "photoshoot" with her the other day and thought "hey, why not post some of them at the Arena". I hope you don't mind, but I'm so proud of her ! She is my only Nirvana (oh, not counting baby cherries jubilee though or the german babies). I am so happy with her - she is a true beauty! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginSome nostalgic moments to start off the summer by KatWoods, on Flickr visitors can't see pics , please register or loginPretty pony by KatWoods, on Flickr Beautiful hearts visitors can't see pics , please register or loginIMG_3156 by KatWoods, on Flickr
