I agree with everyone here! So, to avoid rehashing all the previous arguments, something I noticed wasn't mentioned before was the fact that some people complain that "we're taking toys away from children". Well, who's to say that I don't play with the ponies the way a kid would?  Kids really get bored of toys so fast nowadays! I play with my ponies, redoing their hair, moving them around and putting them places, having them talk and interact with each other, taking pictures of them, making them things. So these toys are being played with the way those people would want... just by someone a bit older. We all deserve to have fun and get in touch with that child-like fun and wonder, no matter our age! That's my motto 

Hey all! It took me some time to get to post my intro, but here I am! Not that anybody was waiting 

I'm SoSoftPony and I'm a fairly new collector... Less than two months! I'm only interested in G1. So far I have two, a 1986 ‘‘Wedding Bells’’ Confetti and a 1989 ‘‘Loving Family’’ Baby Apple Delight. But I hope to get more in the future! Living in Eastern Europe puts a bit of a dent on pony hunts, unfortunately... I also hope to procure myself one So Soft pony someday. My grail is Scrumptious, but I believe she's an US exclusive, so that's gonna have to wait a bit. In the meantime, there are plenty of other ponies to look for, right? 

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post pictures, but if I am, here is a shot of my two gals hanging out by my desk! Baby Apple Delight came tail-less so I had to rehair her. She was an absolute wreck overall!

But, as you can see, they've already become the best of friends! 

I'm in my 30's, and even though G1 was all the rage when I was a kid my parents never let me get any for some reason. I remember sitting down, when I must’ve been like 5 or 6, at a table or desk and playing with magazine cut-outs of the ponies since I couldn’t have the real deal. They were fascinating–I could look at them all day! So I'm delighted that I can have them now. To me, they’re just friendly little critters that I can take care of and make happy, just like they make me 

Besides ponies, I also "collect" Barbies, although I customize them so it's not really about me wanting to get all dolls out there. My favorite things are to craft, knit and sew for them. I have plans to make some patterns for custom pony wear in the future, too! I already pulled together a knitting pattern for a kind of "pony rug" which is a kind of blanket or coat that horses can wear. I'd like to make something like the old "Pony Workout" set with the sweatpants and hoodie

Oh, and before I forget, about the "porum" thing in the title... I've been so obsessed with ponies lately, that the other day I was telling my partner about wanting to sign up for the forum, and my brain combined "pony" and "forum" into one word... "PORUM"! And I guess it's kind of stuck
