new Rainbow Brite dolls/toys!!! do you live near a Hallmark store ?

I am hoping that maybe Rainbow isn't so ugly in person... I have no hope for poor Starlite.  I guess whether I get them or not will probably depend on their price point.  I might not be able to resist Rainbow on principle, even though I cringe at her look...

I will be getting Rainbow doll even though it isn't the prettiest. My mother passed away back in January and I  recovered some of my childhood toys when I had to sort through the house, my Rainbow doll was one of them but somehow she went missing in the moving of stuff from Oklahoma to Florida. So I suppose the new release can take her place.

Twink is awesome! He looks exactly like the 80s cartoon version. I had Starlite as a child and he was cute. This one looks like a handmade version someone made for Etsy. And while Rainbow Brite's dress is a mess and her feet are large, I think her face is adorable. I'm not sure why they changed her, though. The "Concept Only" version on the first page looks very much like the original doll.

I'll admit the promo pics looked better, but based on how Starlite looks, Brite could've turned out much worse I really love how Twink looks and I think Brite looks cute in a gloomy way

I am thinking her face will look better if I remove her lipstick- I think it makes her look kind of like she is grimacing...  they also sewed her skirt on way too high but I am hoping that maybe the post production doll won't look like that...

How hard is it for them to make reproductions of the ones we know and love? *le sigh* I will still be getting one for my baby girl, but maybe not for myself (like I had hoped).

I got Twink at the Hallmark store at the Mall of America.  He is so adorable!

I just got Twink too! He is REALLY cute in person!  I love that he can "sit" and has his color belt, and his correct colors-  I hope they make more sprites!  My Hallmark store only received 1 Twink and 1 "Collector Set" - CRAZY

Yeah, there are no stores "nearby" me either- there is one solitary store in Washington, that is a bit of a drive.  Which is why I am sincerely hoping that they stock these online at some point. ...

OMG there is a new picture up of the 18" doll- and she is.... not cute.  Why so glum Rainbow?

Her outfit is "off" too.  No waist?  No belt?    Twink is still adorable but it appears they are keeping the weirdo design for Starlite.  I wish they had copied a 4DE or any number of cute MLP designs for his body.  Alas.

gonna say I think Rainbow is cute here, she almost looks exactly like the original doll except updated slightly. I just checked my doll I have and the expression is almost the same 0w0 kinda look the smile's just not going up as much. and yeah the feet are a bit larger than what they should be.

Rainbowbrite and Twink look almost classic. As for Starlight...I wish Breyer would do Starlight, Skydancer and Sunrise at this point. They're such beautiful horses but the toys they make of them are ugh!

- yeah, the prototype for Starlite is NOT impressive.  I hope the final is better (although I suspect not)
