So I got these in 2015 or 2016 when they first came out- thinking I would smash the little "snowbaby" off of them and keep the absolutely gorgeous vintage style porcelain ponies somehow.. Only, I never really had the nerve to do it. So they have sat here in their boxes in my office since the day they arrived- and now that I am moving offices- it is time for them to go! Before I put them on ebay- I thought I might check here to see if anyone was interested. Price is $79 for the pair - (basically original 2016 price my shipping cost back then) Shipping will probably be pricey to warn you- if you want to check before inquiring- at usps.com, my zip is 98164, and the weight is 2lb 14 oz (so just shy of 3 lb). Plus they are porcelain, so while they are packaged remarkably well in foam, with even more cushioning in the box- I think they probably should go via insured mail, because you just never know. If you want to waive insurance, we can discuss. Anyway, they are cute- the ponies that is. Well, not like it WAS of course, but there are a couple of "collector" dolls coming- apparently they are the dolls that Mattel was planning to release at SDCC, but ... you know, COVID thing. ANyway the "official" release to retailers (I'm sure as usual, MATTEL has a HUGE edition size of these) - is technically December 2nd- but I'm SURE you will start seeing them various places earlier than that. It appears they will be sold through IT only so I guess I will have to rejoin wclub - arghhh! Seems from this description they will probably stick to the basic characters? But I hope they do Raya and Danse.... and wouldn't mind another classic Jem... if they do some of the super odd "fashions" that never made it to production, my wallet will be safe.... I'm sure you are all aware of the catastrophic fires ravaging Australia since September. An estimated 800 million animals have been affected. WIRES (Australia's largest wildlife rescue organization) is rescuing and caring for as many sick, injured and orphaned native animals as possible. I decided to put the money I was about to spend on a pricey doll, on this organization. And they are really cute! They kinda have shrunken EAH faces- my kid isn't quite old enough for these dolls yet, but since he already plays with kelly dolls and is so frustrated by their lack of ability to SIT DOWN- I will get him at least one to test  (I hope they are sturdy!) They appear to come with a LOT of goodies... They are now available online at Amazon, Target, and Walmart. "The idea for the line comes from concern from both parents and children about the gender of toys," Mattel said in a statement. The line consists of six different doll kits, retailing for about $30 and available in a variety of skin tones. Each kit has one doll, two hairstyle options (one longer, one shorter) and varying clothes. Sorry can't find the old Basic Fun SSC thread- where did it go ? Anyway I was looking around on Amazon yesterday for the available ponies- and I ran into Peach Blush! She came out in super super small quantities a year or so ago- right before production stopped. So there were hardly any around and then when you saw one for sale on ebay it would be for $50. HAH! But now she's popping up for $12.99! So I finally nabbed one. She is SO CUTE! I've been playing this "Cat Game" on my phone- it is surprisingly cute and addictive. There are also a lot of unicorn and seahorse and pegasus type "cats" (not sure how they are cats but somehow ?) So I was wondering by Ross and decided to check to see if they had ponies. They had one Pinkie sea-pony, and a stack of these Tempest play-sets. There were no prices on them though. I got a couple of other things (for the kiddo) to make it worth waiting in the 20 minute line, and then waited in the line (which was so ridiculously long and unnecessarily slow as it always is). I looked at the receipt and was pleasantly surprised to see that the Tempest set had been only $2.99! SCORE!
