I have no clue; I didn't change anything.  I opened the app up and thats when it started, I didn't even upload anything to photobucket. :(

Yes, I was really shocked, I went to check something and I got that...thing instead of my pics, it won't let me even view them full size. >. <  if I go to the link it shows, I get a page that says

Our Terms of Service does not allow 3rd party hosting at your current account level. We have created a Plus 500 plan thay allows you to continue using Photobucket to host your images with linking & 3rd Party Hosting

and if I click upgrade, of course, it wants me to pay a monthly fee.  :(
I think I'll try imgur, and if I dont like it, I will try Flickr.

I have been using photobucket for 10+ years, and as of June 20th, they changed their terms to not allow linking from free accounts with no warning. :stressed:

So, either we pay them to let us use our pics, or go elsewhere to host our pics for sales threads...one guess which I am doing.

What is everyone's fav photo host sites that allow linking?

Pony Corral / Re: Anybody left that grew up with G1 ponies?

*grins and waves* my first ponies came from my great grandmother; she gave me Powder and Sky Flier for Christmas, and they started an obsession, haha!  I used to go with one of my Grandmas to yard sales every other Saturday, and I would get a whole $5 to spend...that added up to a LOT of ponies, haha!  I did get new ponies on birthdays and holidays, but just as many, if not more, were yard sale rescues. :)  here's a pic from about 1994, I think:

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

My little sis had got hold of them and was playing with them in a giant mud puddle, so I was trying to clean them all up.

So in a lot of ways, haha, I have an advantage for pony hunting: I have a lot of practice(30+ years...wait, when did I get that old?!?) at spotting a whisp of hair or a sad eye or hoof peeking out of a box!

It sounds almost like thepaint 'stamps' on their legs transferred onto the bag, then back onto the ponies?

Wanted! / Primark size 20 wanted!
« on: June 08, 2017, 07:53:05 PM »
I am after any of the primark clothes in size 20, if anyone finds any; especially that denim jacket!  I could pay by PayPal, or I would be happy to trade, if you prefer.  I am going on vacation for a week, but when I get back, I will update my sales thread on what I still have, and I will trade for these. :)

I would guess something on the body needed to be fixed, and the note was sticking up through her neck opening, and was supposed to have been pulled out by whoever fixed whatever it was(maybe her symbols got missed? maybe she got the wrong color tail at first?  are her symbols right or are they reversed on her NDS?)  Only instead of pulling it out, it got pushed inside, and not noticed when it was time to attach her head. :)

Pony Corral / Re: G1 through g3 fandom becoming extinct?

Another point is G1-G3 collectors are primarily *collectors*, not fandom.  Fandom vs collector may seem like minor differences, but think of it this way:
at a comic con, you expect cosplay, fan interactions, and all that kind of thing.

at a comic book show or collectables show and trade, you don't.  They are two vastly different things, right?
We older collectors are somewhere in between, but probably closer to the second.  Fan works have never been a huge item, for many, only original ponies without drastic restoration "count", those of us who collect unofficial fanmade art and customs are about half of the community, but I wouldn't say the majority collect fanworks.

A lot of it is simply collectors move in waves:  for a while, everyone was going to facebook and not coming to forums; now I am seeing more activity here and less on facebook.  We older collectors tend to be most active at certain times of the year, too; just like how when it's off season for a tv show, there is less fan activity. :)

Pony Corral / Re: I know this is a stupid question but...

Some ponies don't really have a display side, and after 10+ years, I still have trouble describing those properly, haha, so I don't think it is a 'stupid question' to have!

For Sale - For Auction / Re: cheap G1 ponies!

Some of the baity ones are pretty interesting but still l guess the shipping costs to europe must be awful. If there is less than 20$ i can try to see more specific the ponies l want tho.

I could mail 1 pony for $13.50, but more would be at least $22.00, for 1 pound(that would be 2 or 3, depending on the ponies)... and those are the cheapest ways. :(

I think she is a Greek Bluebelle who has been badly sunburned or been smoke damaged, poor pony!

There was a Gusty pair at walmart a year or two ago? They were in womens sizes, but I never found them in my size!

Was the recipient aware that they may be paired with an international shipper?  If they were, then to me, they should be aware of the possibility of customs fees.

Did the sender mark the package as a gift?  Swaps *are* essentially gifts, as no money is exchanging hands, and it helps keep fees down to a reasonable amount.

As far as solutions go, how about  a raffle or a pair of auctions to raise the funds? the prizes could be two customs, one from each of the 2, and anything extra after the cost of re shipping the custom and paying the fees could either be split between the two, or donated to the arena?  That way neither one is out extra money,  just time and the resources(I am assuming a basic custom, no sculpting, just repaint and rehair) to make the custom.

Maybe the Arena could even give them permission to do the Arena Pony?
