So I sunk eleven or so gems into speeding up Neon Lights to get sewing machines for Saffron, and I got the last one with three minutes to spare and bought the Hooficrafts stand leaving me at exactly zero gems, just in the nick of time, with all tasks fulfilled...

but it didn't count because the Hooficrafts stand takes twenty-five hours to build.

I won Saffron Masala, last night finally, after 1 entire day waiting for 4 last Sewing Machines,I got the last four 16 hrs before the end, but I was playing a lot to get those last 4.

3 hours before ending I decided to skip some of Joe tasks for the final 2 machines.

Just checking the new hotel pony, I don't have the gems and won't be able to collect that many in one week. So I won't be getting this one.

I gave up a couple hours before the end of the event, with my final tally at 14/18 sewing machines, and only enough time to earn one more before the event ended.

I mean, I'm glad I got closer to completing it than usual, but these hotel ponies are just such a scam, I STG. And oh nooooo Violet CLM, that's the worst!! I'm so sorry! That must have been so heartbreaking. ; ;

I should also mention, I spent all my 40 gems because like a dumb person, I believed Gameloft when the ad popped up, stating that there was "ten times the chance!" of winning a sewing machine in the gem pop. Foolishly, I forgot that ten times zero is still zero!

I gave up on Saffron when I needed 8 sewing machines in 9 hours. I knew it was impossible. Now I'm not even trying for the new one. I need the cloud storage. I'm not buying it even on its "sale" of 240 gems. That's #&%$#$%^& ridiculous.

I'm not even bothering with the new hotel pony. I won't be able to get enough gems for that shop. and for one of the items I only have 1 of the ponies to work on the task so I doubt I'd get those either

I'm not really trying for Zesty either. The hotel ponies were fun at first but not when you have to spend a ridiculous amount of gems to get shops or extra ponies for tasks for each pony. I guess I will go back to getting ducks for Mrs. Shy.

I'm not bothering with Zesty either.  It's crazy what they want this time.  I can't afford the "sale" of 240 gems, which ends very soon, for the Cloud Storage, I don't have Jet Set for one of the tasks, and I still don't have the chocolate stall for one of the others, so it's kind of pointless. 
I agree, it was fun at first but now it's getting kind of ridiculous :/

I was only able to get 2 sewing machines. I completed the rest of the tasks days before the time run out, but the sewing machines had such a low drop rate so I couldn't get Saffron. :/

I wonder if there will be an easier traveling pony after this one. It sucks just letting her sit there and not even try.

Right? I haven't even opened my game since the last event ended, I got on today because I realized I should probably get back to saving up gems!

I've been taking a break too. not trying for the traveling pony or the EQG dance pony. It's kinda nice to not be on the game every spare minute I have. I've been going on daily to still get gems. There's a new clear the skies event so I'm going to try for that one but I never win those.

Yeah, lately I've been collecting bits to finish up the 35 expansion zone quest. I've pretty much finished up all the other challenges. I should do a dancing challenge and see if I have any more ponies to win with that. I've managed to save up 80 gems, and I'm not quite sure what I want to do with them. I was thinking of just keep saving. I hear getting the town hall is a challenge that can't be skipped with gems. Which means I'll need it eventually.
