A good website is the fakie hideout , I do not know how long it has been sense the last update though.  As for rare fakes I think the fake takara are up there , as for famous ones princess rinse and spit is popular.

This is some good information. :) I know for a fact the Hideout is still active and you can find it here. I see that there is a great beginners tab there, so I suggest you read it. If you are curious about fakies, always research, research, research! There are also some (now inactive) message boards that you can search for and find some great discussion, but my suggestion is to stick around the Arena for a while, and that way you can always keep asking questions and sharing your fakie finds with us. There are more fans for them out there than you may think. ^^

I think as with most things there is a difference between rare and sought after. There are loads of fakies which over the years I think I may only have seen once or twice and are therefore rare but there are also certain groups - Princess Rinse and Spit as well as the Takara fakies - which come up often enough but are super sought after.

These are the best sites:

This is most certainly a point. Popular ponies are different than rare ponies. This is why something like Mimic is so htf- it's supply and demand.

I second allymer that the Hasbro mold fakies are typically more desirable. Along with the Mexican boy ponies that he mentions are Color Kid fakies, which even have fakies of Pony Friends as well.

I'm also pretty sure that sitting fakie babies such as the ones by Lanard or Taratoy are worth a little more, but not much.

Thanks for the link! I've got no idea how I could have missed it.... I love looking at Fakies. They're always full of surprise.
Personally, I prefer the non-hasbro mold ones.... unless they're based on G1(G1 is always awesome) or G2(they're rare).
