I don't think there's any reason for concern yet... they've only just started appearing in shops, right? I'm sure they'll be more widely available soon.

gah, I love Hallmark Keepsake ornaments but I hate trying to find them on their site x) I went looking to see if there were any other interesting ornaments while I was there and I don't get why they don't have a "all licensed products" section or w/e. Always an adventure trying to figure out where they'll put the MLP ornaments. (I'd complain about MLP being under "Kids" while the cute Christmas Optimus Prime one is under "Fan Favourites"... especially since this is a G1 pony so surely more aimed at adult collectors than kids... but I can't say it surprises me...  ) Ugh that description though. "The ultimate hostess of tea parties and ice cream at her Cotton Candy Cafe" ??? what??? That's G3 Cotton Candy! Uuuughhhh Like I get it, G1 CC doesn't really have much of a set personality, but surely they could've come up with SOMEthing instead of conflating her with the G3 character! Not to mention it's again reducing MLP to "oh it's just about tea parties" >__< Sorry, I just had to get that out. The ornament itself is absolutely DARLING, I think I like her even better than the previous CC ornament they made! Her face is so sweet. I can't wait to get this one, I definitely NEED her

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's not Basic Fun, aside from anything else they usually announce their stuff in advance. It is weird that it's just a head, we've had styling ponies before but they at least had bodies too?? Although I'll admit I've never really understood the "point" of styling doll heads. New Egmont magazine is out with another Pipp toy (same mould as the original one they released back in 2022, but with slightly different colours, paint apps etc), this one has a teeny-tiny little iPhone thing attached to her leg  It looks so weird and silly, I love it.

UK peeps - if anyone's still looking for them, I found the Basic Fun blind boxes at GAME today!  They only had two (i.e. not a whole box or anything) but figured I'd pass the info on anyway.

Unfortunately I can't access your Tumblr reliably - if I scroll too far down it starts asking me to log in Seems to be some new thing they've added in for blogs that are tumblr.com/username instead of username.tumblr.com, weird site... But I did manage to get it to work long enough to see the model sheets of Taffy and Sweet Stuff, ooooh! The SS one could be for the TAF advert I guess? But Taffy, ooh :O Love the Baby It's Cold Outside sketches, omg they're so fluid and full of character! The sketch page of Charlton is wonderful.

Ooooh I can't wait to listen to those auditions tomorrow <3 Still downloading the Baby sketches to look at (darn slow Wayback Machine  ), but oooooh, the Cloud Castle character lineup has some interesting things: - the ponies are listed as Heart Throb, Locket and TAFFY?!? Taffy never appeared in the cartoon?! :O In the actual ep it's So Soft Twilight. Could just be that they wrote the wrong name since the thumbnail clearly shows "Taffy" as a pegasus (wouldn't make sense for an earth pony to be in this story anyway), but that they knew the name in the first place suggests maybe she was supposed to show up in the cartoon at some point... Hmmm! - the note "SONG" next to a pic of Garth and Ariel suggests there WAS meant to be a song in Part 2! Cloud Castle pt 1 has a song, but pt 2 is one of only two episodes without a song (Tambelon pt 3 being the other), I know there's been a lot of debate on here about if this one was meant to have a song and if so, what it would've been... This isn't exactly concrete info but it's definitely interesting :o Also I forgot how cute Ferdinand and Andrew are! I like their little faces. So goofy and cute.

i wouldn't add flocking to a NSS pony though.
Oh, same here. I dunno why, but flocked customs never quite look right to me. (off-topic but Cola, I love your avatar!)

Definitely no flocking for me It's weird since usually I like flocked toys (lifelong Sylvanian collector!) but somehow flocked ponies just don't look quite right to me. That said, I'd never deflock a pony unless her fur was in bad shape. If the flocking's nice and minty and like-new, or just needs a little work, then it'd be a shame to deflock... I'd just pass her onto someone who'd appreciate her more. But if the flocking's bad, half-rubbed off already, no saving it... then might as well go ahead and deflock. I think deflocks are worth just as much as minty So Softs (and way more desirable to me personally!  ), of course assuming it's a good deflock job  Oh, I will say, I don't quite understand going out of your way (general "you") to deflock a pony that already has an easy-to-find NSS counterpart. Like, Magic Star I get, since she was released in different poses... Wind Whistler I kinda get since her SS release's colours are so much brighter... But unless she's SO manky that deflocking's practically a must, I don't really understand going to all the trouble of deflocking, say, Cherries Jubilee or Buttons. I mean if you do that I'm not going to judge, it's your pony after all, just seems like needless work to me

I've seen US sellers claiming it costs $50 to ship a pony accessory overseas before though. That's definitely not valid. I think some sellers just do it to put off overseas buyers.
It really wouldn't surprise me You do still get the odd seller here and there that's willing to work with you and ship things overseas (and not charge ridiculous prices for it :p), but sadly they seem to be scarcer than ever.
