Aurora Luna plush
« on: August 08, 2014, 08:16:41 PM »
So has anyone bought the Aurora Luna plush? If so, what's she like? Durable and nice and worth the hefty price tag? And has anyone found her in retail stores rather than just online?

There was a thread about her just recently with a couple of people who had bought her and some pictures of her. She has been found both in store and online but the in store finds seem to be very recent. Hopefully someone who previously posted can pop back for you, I ll bump this up in the meantime.

Aww thanks, I should have tried the Search function before posting. :)

Did they mention what stores they had found her in?

It was long enough ago, there is no harm in a new thread :) Its just that that thread was the only reason I kind of knew a bit of the answer. I think it was just a local comic shop.

I haven't seen her in stores here yet but I ordered her from Toywiz way back when.  I think she's cheaper on ebay right now, actually.

Her quality is fine.  She'd be hard to really damage.  I think her legs are shaped funny and she's a bit wobbly but she stands alright on her own.  I disliked her tail because it isn't stuffed at all and hangs like an empty sack, but I planned to stuff it myself and haven't done it yet.  Her wings are thick foam or something and seem pretty durable too.  They're on her butt and not her shoulders/back though.

She's not here yet and I find that for some weird reason we seem to get things early. :D

eBay looks pretty terrible right now, unless I used the wrong search terms. But I saw one at the ToyWiz price and one at $41. Zoinks!

I finally turned up a couple of listings on Amazon, however, and one says she'll release August 13th for Amazon and will only cost $18.57 or thereabouts! And she'll qualify for free shipping with $35 worth of stuff! **starry eyes.** Maybe I'll just plan on getting her there, along with one of the two Mannix seasons I don't yet own.

The wing placement looks a little odd, but upon inspection of the Funrise Celestia and Cadance, it doesn't seem like it's much lower on the back than theirs. :) So that probably won't bother me.

I got her in the mail a couple of weeks ago and I think she's well made, just a bit odd shaped to me. Tiny skinny body and giant head.

Hmm. Is she worse to that effect than the Funrise plushies? Looking over the pictures of Luna, she doesn't seem any more strangely proportioned than the Funrises.

I feel like it's so apparent because she's so large. Her legs are so long and slender and then the big big head. I don't have any Funrise though I've seen the smaller ones so I can't really compare! I just wish her legs were sturdier really.
