Off Topic / Re: Are you a night owl or a morning person?
« on: September 03, 2016, 08:41:48 AM »
Eh a bit of both? I usually tend to get up quite early without an alarm clock and honestly wake up time for me can be anywhere from like around 5.30-8.00. 8am is a 'late' start of the day for me. I try not to go to bed late like usually I average around 11pm

I haven't got a problem with either really, but for me once I get tired oh boy do I get tired

I see some definite improvement.   :)
Keep up the good work.

Cute pose. I agree that it looks like you've improved a lot.

Gusty looks like she's up to mischief.  ^.^

Thank you!

Off Topic / Re: Honestly how bad are spiders
« on: August 30, 2016, 02:43:11 PM »
As I understand most spiders, at least those you commonly get in your house/garden aren't really going to do anything to people and aren't really that dangerous, also of course they're useful for keeping the bugs away.

I used to be rather scared of spiders when I was growing up (Although my brother kept a tarantula and somehow I could tolerate that) but gradually overcame it and now quite like them. I've also handled tarantulas on a few occasions (being incredibly technical they're not spiders)

But I'd say do things like show her how to safely catch spiders and get them outside, maybe look into finding books on spiders that are informative ones and things like that?

I haven't drawn ponies in ages, (some of you might remember I used to post that stuff here) so have a Gusty that's like a redraw of this]http://67.media.tumblr.com/f1f298448e08c8e9da471b56e66ac571/tumblr_ms049kwoPg1qfac4po1_500.png] of this

Also if anyone's interested I'm willing to do commissions like this or just sketches ones (will also draw non ponies) pm me for details!

How terrible. Kids need boundaries and "do not touch" means do not touch" not "go ahead and play with it." It seems like a lot of parents don't teach their kids to respect other people's belongings or things.

This story reminds me of when I was growing up we had some people over and I was trying to play with the older girl and the younger girl at the same time. The younger one broke the leg off of one of my Ariel dolls (I only had two Ariels) because she pulled her leg out of the socket. I told my parents and her mom about the younger girl breaking my doll (I was usually very careful with my toys so it was big deal to me that my doll was broken.) Her mom said she was sorry but didn't even offer to replace my Ariel or at least pay for me to get another doll. My dad tried to fix her but my doll couldn't sit down anymore. I was young but I think it was at the age where you should/would know not to take other people's stuff.

Oh this reminds me of something that happened to me in school. I had this toy horse, can't remember the brand it wasn't MLP but some sort of hard plastic blue pony with moveable legs. I can't quite remember how it happened but short version a boy in my class got a hole of it and pulled it around enough to break one of the legs off and I can't remember if he got in trouble for it or something but I was not happy.

I haven't actively collected in quite a long time and my collection is still in need of a major sort out but I think last I checked it was around 100 and something?

Off Topic / Re: Tumblr?? Help please!
« on: August 26, 2016, 11:45:00 PM »
The other option instead of searching is to type /tagged/whateveryourlooking for. You are able to track tags as well so that can be a bit easier than using the search function

I've seen XKit recommended also you might want tumblr saviour which you can use to hide content so like if you don't like snakes you can type in 'snakes' and if anyone posts something tagged snake you don't have to see it. Also I think you still need to manually turn on the ask box, you can prevent anon messages if you want, and also the same for the reply feature you need to turn it on and you can set it to like 'everyone', 'people that follow me', 'mutuals only'

Also if you're posting something only the first five tags of it are tracked by tumblr so people can find your post using those tags if they're looking into a tag.

Yeah seems I'm doing another one of these threads again.

I know I've basically vanished from here over the last couple of years it seems. I still do love mlp I just haven't been very involved with pony stuff much as of late but I do miss hanging around on here and wonder how you're all getting along so here's me just chiming in, saying an awkward hello for disappearing again and just wanting to check in and see how everyone is doing.

There's a Primark in the town/city I study in and so I pop in there from time to time, I'll have to keep my eyes peeled

Pony Corral / Re: Do you ever take a Hiatus from Pony collecting?
« on: October 11, 2015, 12:59:42 PM »
I'm sort of in one and have been for the last couple of years.
Bunch of stuff really, but like a patch of being unemployed and being on jobseeker's didn't help, and just like not keeping up with mlp and feeling sort of thrown off now and like the lack of disposable income doesn't help and when I do have a bit it ends up going on other things. And as much as I still love mlp it's just exhausting to get back into it at the moment

So I'm like in a 'i like ponies, i lurk around but I'm not quite back in'

Off Topic / Re: I'm going to be nosey! Gender identity...?
« on: October 11, 2015, 12:49:37 PM »
I id as 'cis female' but when it comes to gender expression I'm just not particularly 'feminine' like it just never really feels 'right' if I do it and I generally feel more comfortable dressing a bit more 'androgynous' (to use the term loosely since you know gender constructs/gender roles) like more like 'this doesn't work for me' rather than 'I hate dresses' etc.

Pony Corral / Re: Your last g1 find in "the wild"?
« on: September 05, 2015, 02:37:00 PM »
I can't even really remember actually, was probably a bootfair find as that's the only place I find G1s in the wild but I don't get to go to my local bootfair much anymore if all due to being busy on a Sunday.

I think the last G1 I remember getting from a charity shop was a Pony Bride. Like it was in the one shop that out of all of them was the only one that ever seems to get ponies.
