I think think that we are in a drastic shift of popular releases as as well. I am a collector veteran from way back in 2002  and I rember the first 4 years of pony was sought after like crazy. People where paying a lot for posy, apple jack, and Sundance and the original pink castle back then and listing lavender dream castle for $10 on ebay. It was like there wasn't enugh to go around.
leaveing the color swirl ponies and second wave princess ponies behind. And calling some of the mail orders ugly.

I recall that time. It's completely flipped. Yea I can get a show stable very easy and I don't even collect the first 3 years of ponies. I might eventually.

There where tons of people that hated the dance and prance ponies and I would get as many as I wanted accessories wise. Now it's so scarce and rare I had to buy one MIB to complete them and I am still missing the gold clip to one of them.
The second way of princess ponies forget the crown clips let alone Taffeta's wand color.
I've gotten 3 of the 6 crowns just by pure dumb luck.
The orange wagon for the pretty pals as well as the stack toy it's hard to find alone atleast I have had to buy multiple incomplete sets to complete mine.

The list goes on and on..

So in 2003 They made light switch covers of Raincurl ponies with a pot of gold and they made the carousel ponies. They made metal light switch plate covers by RIX company sold at places like Hottopic and Marshalls.
I've been looking for the Rain curl ponies and the care bears for a long time. I have caught so many scammer looking for these. I know they aren't rare they just don't come up for sale often. Dose anyone know why this is the issue?
And side note please let me know if you have a lead to where I can find one.

I saw a gal here im colorago walking into target she has a g1 pony tattoo. I told her it was cool. She was kinda rude..oh well I didn't take it personal beacuse tattoos are personal space.

I've got a pony tattoo and some one grabbed my arm and jerked me across my counter poped my sholder just to see my tattoo. So I feel the grumpy tattoo leave me alone Attitude.

My ex-boss wife was a hard core collector. She said she fell out of it beacuse it was too competitive.

Yea I think ponies being considered valuable like what was mentioned is just gross and sucks the fun out of collecting. I collect to enjoy. No competition, no pony greed, no money greed it's just soft calm and relaxing to me.

Don't get me started on bronies..or people that don't know the difference between brony and g1 collectors. I've been asked if I have had gross behavior ' use your imagination '
