Hello,

I recently sold a 2009 Sweetie Belle new in box (the heart shaped ones) on ebay and received a message from the buyer that the package had been opened and taped back together. Any collector knows that this is how these ponies were sold in the store. I sent her a link to another person's auction which shows the tape on the back of the box. I am not sure what else to do to prove that the box was not tampered with or opened other than having some one else back me up on this...

I don´t know about g3 boxes, but the g4 are taped on the back, to prevent people removing the pony. Is there any wiki photo of pony´s box?

All of the wiki pics show the front of the box, not the back.

If the buyer don't like the way Hasbro boxed these ponies - she/he should send it back to you and you can offer a refund.
She should keep it or exchange it then.
I would refuse to accept anything else... good luck =)

I would simply tell her that unfortunately that is the way they were packaged and there is not much you can do about it. I would also tell her that no matter whom or where she buys another one it will be the exact same. But that if she feels that strongly about it being opened that you are more than happy to accept it back for a full refund.

Unfortunately though there are just some people who are mindset that they are right.

You have some great advce here already   I would go ahead and send her the picture to show her that they are packaged like that by Hasbro. If she still doesnt like it then you can tell her to return it for a full refund (she'll have to pay to ship it back to you)  ). Other than that if she is a collector/ a member here or some other pony site and she cant live with the tape then she should resell the pony or trade it.

Hello, thank you for all of your help. Now she changed her story and is saying the box was received crushed. I offered her a full refund if she returned it. Hopefully she will accept the offer, because I don't want to fight over a 6 dollar pony.

She changed her story?!   sounds a bit dodgy to me   did she send you pics of the damage?
 Please  let us know how she responds to your offer anyways . Hopefully she will just send it back with no further issues.

She said she would send pictures but hasn't replied to me in days. I suppose she either decided to keep the pony or it is on its way back to me... She hasn't left feedback yet either.

Give her an ultimatum. Say "I need proof or return of the product before xx day or I will contact Paypal for feedback extortion."
