It could just be that your sharpener is now getting a bit dull. I'd look at the places where you buy your art supplies and see what they have on offer. Different pencils too sharpem differently, so you might need a few. I have a sharpener that has a little switch so I can choose if I want to make the point blunt or sharp which is pretty handy. Also some kinds of oencils are more prone to breakages, so there's a bunch of things to consider. Apparently some kinds you are even better of hand sharpening with a blade!

I scrolled down and thought, "oh, those floating pumpkins are a cool idea" more than once and them remembered they are part of the original line art. So to the original artist, thise floating pumpkins are such a cool idea, I thought it more than once. I slways think it's interesting to see how people choose to colour something too, and how different the line art looks with colour.

Bump - any ideas on pricing for either the backpack or the pyjama case?

HiI would like to request a price check for:

G1 cotton candy pyjama case. Not in the best shape, eyelashes missing on one side and could really do with being re haired. When I bought it, it's hair was full of those velcro ball things that were largely condemned when children ended up putting them in their hair. It was an ordeal to get them out.

Here are the photos

A g3 star catcher backpack. I have to get this out of storage but before I put it away it was in vgc, hair a bit dry at the ends (but I think I can fix that now.) Edit: It needs a wash so no pics yet.

Any guesses?

The Dollhouse / Re: Need help repairing a 1992 My Very Soft Baby

If you want the same squeaker you'll probably need to get another of the same type of doll and retrieve that squeaker. I don't know how sought after these are but if you got another one in better condition it could also help you make a pattern to recreate the body of your doll.

Although there's always the urge to hurry and get stuff done, it is better in the long run to wait to get the proper thungs you'll need. Like if you are adamant about getting a squeaker, I'd not bother trying to fix the body because you'd have to unpick it somewhere so you could put the squaker in.

I think a lot of newer toy lines are not collector friendly. Any sort of squishy plastic thing (e.g. Squinkies) decays quite rapidly. Ooshies too, I think will not hold up, any sort of squish filled thing (like I had an orbeez dog apple. I gave it to my niece and nephew. I do not know where or what it is now but I suspect it will be gross) or those fash 'ems I think they were called? Num noms too, they will split easily. And the actual jelly/foamy squish toys, they will not last. I don't mean the plush ones, the ones that are like a shaped food or whatever and you squish it in your hand and it slow rises.

I thought about collecting the 'girl' ooshies - care bears and disney and what not but decided against it because I think they will degrade very easily.

The Dollhouse / Re: What should I do? (Rainbow Brite related topic)

I have Rainbow Brite and Starlite, bought off ebay. Rainbow Brite I took out of the box. I left the pony in the box, and I'm not that keen on it. They just don't look very well made, I don't think. Like cheap and hollow looking, and the proportions are a bit weird. Do they stand well out of the box?

If you do a search on US ebay for both current and sold listings there's not much on there, and they're not selling for a lot, but the blue and pink dolls and horses are much scarcer than Rainbow Brite and Starlite.

It's your stuff, you should get what you want from it. If you are happy to leave it in the box, you like the look of it that way, leave it in the box. If you like to display it, take it out of the box.

Oh and those twisty pet things are a rip off of ones made blby the company that made Liv, MGA? Or was it zuru? Anyhow, there was ones before these twisty pets ones, I have some. They've been discussed on ghostofthedoll before (by me!)

There's an old thread about them on the ghostofthedoll message board. I have a few bits and pieces I've picked up randomly from op shops.  If you can't find any info about them you can always make your own website to document your collection and help out any other collectors. It's easy to do (I used weebly.) There's a bit of info on wikipedia - I never even knew they tried making a third generation of the dolls. I think I remember something about Betty Spaghetty starting out as a project for a group of students or something and they thought the idea was so good that they actually made it, but I could be getting confused.

Hi, any Aussies out there interested in early g2 littlest pet shop? I'm mentioning fellow Aussies because our postage rates are pretty high. I'm going through my collection and slowly listing them. I haven't changed all the photo names to the correct numbers yet. It's a work in progress. I may also be interested in trades, I collect toys from the 80s/90s, primarily teeny weeny families, littlest pet shop kenner, fairywinkles, specific g1 pony things (mommy charms, Lil litters), I'm happy to take a look at what you've got!

Don't worry about any pricing - I'm listing on gumtree and everyone always wants to offer a lot less so many things are priced so that I can go lower but still be happy with the amount I get. Pricing isn't on everything either.
