Pony Corral / Ugly Plushie Appreciation!
« on: May 12, 2014, 02:48:24 PM »
Soo.. MLP has got it's fair share of adorable and sweet plushies that we've all fell in love with.
...But sometimes, there are some bad ones.

You can get the physco-eyed ones..

Or the :muffin: eyed ones..

You can get ones who are losing their necks..

To some who have no neck at all..

From the over-sized eyes..

To the not-quite-right eyes..

Pony Corral / Re: G3 Storage Advice
« on: May 10, 2014, 06:50:00 PM »
Unfortunately, I have the same issue with storage space with my G3s. I have well over 100 of them crammed into plastic storage boxes at the moment, but the good news is that they don't seem to get damaged by it. Their hair might become frizzy, but unless they are exposed to any elements that could cause damage such as damp areas or areas that could be too hot - they should be okay.

Trader & Shipping Support / Paypal Problems - Anyone else?
« on: May 10, 2014, 08:36:02 AM »
So recently I won a bid on eBay for an MLP, and I tried to use Paypal as I would normally. I enter my details it's all going well and thenn..this appears. >_<

But there is one issue - all my details are 100% correct. Every time I've entered them in the past, it's gone okay..only recently has it been doing this.
Has anyone else had this issue? Apparently it's a recognized problem, but Paypal is offering no help or explanation.
Anyone?

Pony Corral / Re: My Little Pony console video game?
« on: May 07, 2014, 06:03:42 PM »
Let's think about this: Should the title of this topic be..
- My Little Pony: The Video Game?
- Brony: The Video Game?

Come on..let's be realistic to what MLP's original intentions were/are.
The franchise was originally created for a YOUNG demographic of CHILDREN.
If My Little Pony was creatively taken over by the Brony community, things like THIS would start to occur.
I have NOTHING against Bronies. Nothing..but please! If people want games like this created for FiM it should be kept within the Brony community.
Realisticly, if Hasbro was going to make an MLP Video Game, it would certainly be more along the lines of CHILD-FRIENDLY concepts, not this "lets make an MLP version of Skyrim" business.
I agree - there is ALOT of potential within FiM that could lead to video games. The lore is a lot more rich, characters are quirky and the adventure elements have a lot that could be made into video games..but you've got to remember what MLP was originally made for.
Children. So the Video Game would more than likely be catered to..*gasp* children!

*Long Breath*

...Anyway. If MLP was made into a Video Game I think an Interactive World would be perfect! What with all the amazing scenery. But of course the playable factors and stories would have to be rather simple to keep within the original age demographic. Maybe not as tounge and cheek as some of the other titles. None of this "we have to make a dress for Minty's birthday!" or whatever, there could be a lot more to it than that. I just think - keep it bright, colourful, easy to control and with a story line that appeals to young ages.

Apologies for the rant!

Pony Corral / What are your MLP-Peeves?
« on: May 07, 2014, 05:49:45 PM »
From what gets you slightly annoyed..to your blood boiling with rage?! :argh:

A personal pet-peeve of mine is when a seller claims a G1 is *RARE* simply because it's a G1 and will push the price up to impossible levels. Yeah I know I love Applejack but I wouldn't pay £80 for her..
Another example is when someone is selling a BIG bundle of ponies, and when you ask if you can buy one individually; they refuse. Erm hello? You'll still be making money off of this pony! :shakefist:
So...what are YOUR MLP peeves?
:stressed:

38
Drown a pony by accident. :lookround:
I'll explain..
I was doing an art project at school about casting and molds so I thought it might've been cool to try and cast a shape out of one of my G3s. So I removed the head and hair and filled her with the 'plaster paris' and some clay to keep it sturdy. I was taking her to school the next morning and I was walking over a bridge just near my house, and I slipped on a puddle and sent the poor girl tumbling to her demise in river.
Sad to say.. I do miss poor Bumbleberry. :bawl:

39
My most recent pony plunder was thinking I got an amazing deal when I bought two MLP Big Brothers for £16 each, then seeing another seller selling the same two ponies in a bundle for £20
Still feeling a lil bummed but..I love the boys. :P

Buut..
A non-personal bummer was the G3.5 Cheerliee..I mean..*shudder* :yikes:

Arts & Crafts Corral / My MLP Tattoo Design! [Opinions Needed!]
« on: May 05, 2014, 04:00:05 PM »
So a lot of you might be thinking..
An MLP Tattoo?!
But first, let me explain myself...
I have been a dedicated MLP collector for around 11 years now, that may be quite a short time for some of you more mature collectors out there; but I've been collecting since I was 6 years old. When I was a lil' girl, I wasn't as popular as a lot of the other kids were in school.
[Though I did have a circle of friends who I still love dearly. ^.^]
I preferred the company of myself, until I discovered the wonderful MLPs of course!
Watching the MLP movies when I was a kid really taught me the values of friendship and acceptance. Don't get me wrong the G3 movies weren't exactly a cinematic experience, but they were brilliant to me when I was little! Growing up I continued to collect MLP well into my early teens, but this is when I discovered the beauty of G1s. I fell in love instantly. :inlove:
To sum it all up..
MLP has been there since my early youth. I grew up with them, watched the ponies change. I've seen the good..and the bad. *cough* G3.5 *cough* but when I look back, I still loved the impact the MLPs have had on my young life..quite a lot for a 17 year old to say about youth huh?
The reason why I've chosen a G1 rather than a G3 is because I prefer the look and design of the G1 line 100x more. The chunkier bodies and bright 80s designs was what made me fall in love with them.

The zombie part? Well..I just really like zombies! :haha:

Soo this is where I need some help..
What should the banner say?
I wish for the text to represent my youth, and how I believe youth is something you never lose. It will always be there. I was thinking a long the lines of: "Young Forever" or "Forever Youth"..but please if you have any suggestions just let me know! ^.^
Thank you!

« on: April 30, 2014, 04:16:46 PM »
I have always wanted to own a Big Brother pony since I first began to collect G1s, and I've always found them to be waaay too expensive.
But someone must have been looking down on me these last two days because two miracles have occurred..
...Someone was selling Steamer for £16! :freak:

He's got some paint rubbings on his iris though, is that easy to fix up?
Not that it matters..I got my first Big Brother!!

But wait..

Who is that chugging along in the near horizon..?

Could it be..?

I also found and bought Barnacle [With his hat too!] from another seller for £16!! :faint:

I'm still in Big Brother shock that I managed to get both of these handsome devils for £32 total. I know some people might think I over-spent but my goodness! I couldn't be any more excited!!
Now all I have to do is wait for them to arrive.. :nomail:

I've been collecting MLP for around 11 years now.. (started when I was around 7 ) but when I was growing up I only ever knew about G3s. So I have 100+ of them now. Buut it wasn't till I was around 12-13 when I got my first ever G1. Since then my love grew and grew! :inlove:

So these girls were my very first G1s..
Snuzzle, Applejack & Bluebelle!

Pony Corral / Re: What in the heck happened to this poor pony? :O
« on: April 29, 2014, 06:40:02 AM »
thats what i thought then
She has plasticizer leak..
Some kind of strange chemical reaction... Im guessing from being in the sun to long.. happened and her plasticzer  has started to come out.
one of my devine shine did this.. all of the glitter faded out and she got really sticky.

three things to do.. Give her a bath with something like dawn..breaks down the goo already out.
wipe her down with baby powder .. this will get rid of the sticky ness
keep her out of the sun... keep it from getting to bad. ( you might also wanna keep her away from the rest of your herd till all of it is leaked out.. its not catching but better safe than sorry..thankfully it dosent take long!)
unfortunately theres not much you can do other than just wait for it to all leak out.. then she will get a lil harder but will stop being sticky.
Hope this helps!!

Wow I wasn't excpecting such a quick reply! Thank you I will keep her away from my other ponies and give her some well deserved TLC. :)

question.. is she still soft . pliable like a regular pony? or is she stiff?

She feels pretty much the same in terms of her softness, but she is also rather sticky which is unpleasant. >_<
