I have a question to add. Say you collect Cows. Do you also like toy cows and not just figurines made to collect?

Yup, I like toys and collectibles of all my collections.

Yay, I found three cute things for my partner on ebay last night! ^_^ Now my box is on its way! That's only about half my spending limit so I'm still going to Walmart tomorrow after work to find some more stuff. :3

On another note, is it bad that I kind of want to open one of the items I got for my partner and play with it? lol.

lol I didn't consider collecting Fancy Pants Babies until I got some for a swap partner, then suddenly I wanted them!

Ok, trying to catch up on some questions!!

Books: I'm trying to get the first 4 Harry Potter books! I've mentioned this in my wishlist

Phobias: Um, not really. I don't like monkeys, clowns or bugs though. Or anything gorey. But this shouldn't come into play for this swap I don't think.

Say you collected a specific line of things and listed some that you needed, would you be happy to get ones you DON'T need too? Sure! Some of the things I have mentioned are collections I am just getting started, so pretty much anything related to what I have listed would be pretty cool!

Hair accessories: also no thanks. I have short hair and don't wear accessories in it very often!

I think that is it. Of course an auction I'm watching is ended today at a time when I might not be home... I guess I can just bid before I leave and then hope for the best! I gotta get going on shopping though! I would prefer not to have to hunt all over the internet for my items, but I think that I might have trouble finding some stuff in stores! It is fun though! And pretty exciting once you start finding stuff!

My other person has a more focused collection so it will look like a theme.  And I just found one listed for a good price!  I had given up on this particular one.

Sounds exactly like my 2 partners! One collects many different things, so her box will have a little something for several different collections.  The other has one main interest, so I'm trying to find lots of varied merchandise for that collection.

I'm not sure I am completely clear on the cow question...

If I collected something general, then I would collect all that merchandise.  Like plushies, mugs, keychains, stickers, handbags, etc.  So like I have tails from sonic on my list.  I love tails.  So if you were going to get me anything that was tails I would squee. I also like wolves so if you got me a wolf keychain or something I would also squee. Does that answer it?

I read the cow question as a general inquiry as to what type of collector you are. Do you collect only nice sculptures? Framed art? Or do you want everything that has to do with cows? Toys, stamps, keychains, an old soda can with a cow on it.

As an animal collector, I want both nice, artistic, collectible things as well as things like toys, art, stationery, tissue boxes, whatever's out there. Someone else who collects animals may only want true collectibles. Sculptures, paintings, things of that nature.

I could be way off-base, I guess. That's what I got out of it.

I just won an auction, but didn't read the fine print I guess, it says that the seller only ships within the US!  I sent them a message, and hope they will ship to me, otherwise I'm not sure what to do!

I actually think there is a parcel depot just across the border, I am going to the states in a few weeks, I suppose if nothing else I could ship it there and then just pick it up! *crosses fingers*

ETA: They wrote back already and said it would be fine! Just have to wait for them to find shipping cost details PHEW!

Here's how I understood the "Cow" question-
I collect little elephants with their trunk up, and Snoopy coffee mugs.  Would I like other elephant or Snoopy themed items like pictures, keychains or toys? Not really, I'm short on space and really only interested in the particular things I mentioned. So no Snoopy plushies or toy elephants, etc.
