My god I cant plug in these boots.
« on: September 21, 2013, 09:24:01 AM »
So I got a Deluxe EQ Girls Fluttershy doll today but I wanted to swap her boots and... oh my god I had to pull REALLY hard to get them off and now I want them to go back on but I just cant. How much pressure I put on her it just doesnt work. I also dont want to break her legg in the process but what can I do about it?

I don't have any EQ girls myself, but you could try boiling the boot to soften the plastic. Works for me when I'm popping on pony heads.

I tried twisting while putting it on and it worked :)

What I do is hold the leg underneath the knee joint so you aren't putting pressure on the joint.  Then I have the boot sitting on a hard surface like a table and push the leg into the boot (while still holding underneath the joint) until you hear the boot pop on.  It seems like it gets easier to put the boots on after the first time or two.

I agree it seems to get easier the more times the boots are removed and I also found twisting the boot a little back and forth as you remove or put it on makes it seem easier. But you need to twist it slowly and gently and push it down into the boot at the same time.

If none of those work, then OneWingChangeling's idea of softening the plastic is probably your best bet.

I have the same problem with Rainbow Dash, they really should be easier to put on,considering they are for kids, but that's Hasbro for you. Twisting the boots on kind of attaches them but they still don't snap in place,at least not for me.

The first time I tried to remove my deluxe Fluttershy's boots, I had to really tug on them! They are much easier to take off now that I did it the first time. My Celestia's boots are super loose however, I can spin them around her leg! xD Sometimes its hard to snap the boots back in place, I have to really push!

Time to go play with dolls now! ^อบ^

I'm glad i'm not the only one who's experiancing this with EQD deluxe Fluttershy
My first reaction was: "WTH?! Oh my god, what is up with these boots?! DX"
I was so afraid I was gonna rip off her legs in the process of taking off her boots and the i'll have an angry mother on my heels :s and my hands literally hurt afterwards of taking off and putting on her boots  >_<
Oh no!

Aim a hair dryer at the end of the foot for about ten seconds and try. If it doesn't fit, put it on for another ten seconds and try again. Repeat until it goes on :) I use this to put some of my Japanese pose-able figures together and one of the companies even recommends this method.

Could pouring warm water into their boots unjoint the boots easier? I wonder if it would hell taking off their shoes.

My kids have had the worst time with those boots. I'm tempted to glue them in place... :lookround: I'm so tired of snapping boots back on.

You'd think a line of toys for kids would be easy to use.

Oh wait, we're talking about Hasbro, silly me! I forgot they have no concept of quality!

It's ironic that the poseability we so ask for doesn't work well with the snap on shoes. Personally I can do without the knees as they don't do anything to make them more expressive.
