loginOK, so as soon as I saw CSA was my partner I knew yellow was the only choice of colour I could go with
I know CSA likes yellow, roses, and her steampunk ponies are always so gorgeous, I knew I wanted to work gears into the design somehow.
Phoebe Rose (Phoebe means Pure radiance which I think is perfect for this little lady) happens to be my very first masquerade pony!
So! Pony was a gem butt pony, who had her gem removed and the hole patched. Airbrushed in pale yellow with several darker shades of yellow on her leg gradients and her ears, then her eyes, mask and symbol were handpainted all done with artist grade acrylics. I've been working on getting more details and shading into my paintwork and I really love the way this piece came out using some of those new techniques.
Her mask was sculpted using Magic Sculpt and features several different types of crystal.
Her hair is Lemon drop, Napalm, Golden Delicious, Butterfly and Pineapple all from Dollyhair. She has extra plug holes along the top of her hair, which was twisted and pinned in place with - you guessed it - yellow pins.
Sealed with Dullcote, then with Triple Thick on her eyes and Modpodge Gloss on her mask. She also has some gorgeous pale yellow glitter for eyeshadow.
CSA has received her pony and sounds very happy with her!
