My husband and I will be going about 130 miles to Anita's for her annual Christmas Eve party. It's a gathering of our family and some of her husband's family.  Always a lot of fun. :newpony: :newpony:

On Christmas day we will go to see my mother with my sister and her husband at Mom's Assisted Living home near Anita's. I don't know what to expect as she has recently moved there, but it's always wonderful to spend some time with Mom (she's 97 this year).

We're hosting my mom's side over the weekend before Christmas, then we go to my mom's for Christmas Eve, and DH's parents' on Christmas Day. We used to live closer (like under 5 miles), but we moved this past spring, so it's under 10 to his parents', and under 20 to my mom's. My sister-in-law comes out with her family for Christmas Day from the other side of the state. I'm glad we don't do that drive.

Oh!! Plus, this year is DH's aunt's turn to host my MIL's side (they take turns between the 4 siblings each year), so it's at our church this year! Aaaaaand we can't go to DH's dad's side this year because of the high school robotics competition kickoff (DH is a mentor), sooooooo NO driving to the other side of the state AT ALL!! (insert evil laugh)

ooh, I got quite rambly there...sorry about that!

I am not going anywhere. Its finally time for my husband, son and I to just stay home by ourselves and not deal with the family drama. ;) We will enjoy our time together.

This year I managed to get Christmas off from Wal-mart (I know how did that happen) So we are able to travel over to the other side of the state (from Port Huron to Grand Rapids) to spend the holidays with my Grandma and the rest of my family.
