Animated film recommendations?

So, I'm all out of animations to watch, what films do you guys love and think I need to see?


I just watched the stunningly beautiful Book of Kells, and very much enjoyed it, and some of my absolute favourites are Nightmare Before Christmas, Howls Moving Castle, My Neighbour Totoro, Hedgehog in the Mist, Coraline and Fantastic Mr. Fox.

I'm not overly keen on Disney as I often find them too girly and frilly but maybe you know of some exeptions to this?

The Last Unicorn is a must if you haven't seen it already.  I'm also fond of Bolt and How To Train Your Dragon.

Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron. Wonderful animation and story (I immediately ran out and bought the soundtrack after seeing it lol!)

I've recently seen the Secret World of Arietey(sp) and loved it!

Some of my favorites are spirit, howls moving castle, spirited away, the last unicorn, Winter Cicaeda and a bunch more I cant remember

I only know Disney, but I'd recommend The Lion King. It's really good.

Also, Ponyo, since you seem to like Hayao Miyazaki. ^^

LION KING!    And Robin Hood.  Both Disney but I love 'em.  Meet the Robinsons and Bolt are really good Disney.

Non Disney...Land Before Time...the first one.
Shrek 1 and 2, of course.
The Ice Age movies.

The Lion King, Bolt and Aladdin might be of interest.

Also, The Land Before Time (like hyenacub has said -  The first one, unless you don't mind a much more kiddy atmosphere), The First Snow of Winter, Legend of the Guardians. I happen to enjoy pretty much any film by Studio Ghibli too.

EDIT: Oh, and Vuk (The Little Fox).

Avatar: The Last Airbender (the series !!) and the brand new series of Avatar too ! Haven't watched any episodes of that yet, but I will !

Also, How to Train Your Dragon is very good and Tangled as well ! After this, every Hayao Miyazaki film is just worth every moment.

And... go to youtube and watch "Rejeted" by Don Hartfeldtz. ;D
