Anyone play Magic, the Gathering?

Well my fiance and I both have decks but we haven't played in quite some time. As nerds though we still play Yu-gi-oh with our friend who only visits every so often (because he's in the navy) ^^'

Ehh, I don't know. Hubby and I have expanded into tons of other games, none of which require hundreds of dollars worth of investment a year in

I play not as often as I would like but will be more soon enough.

My husband though is a major geek about them. He can see a glimpse of the card and tell you everything on it. Then again he started playing about 13 years ago.

When are you going to start tournaments?

I literally got my first deck building kit a week or so ago! My best friend used to travel round Australia playing all the big tournaments - he bought me them as a gift when I mentioned that some people in another team at work play at lunch ! : )

I would love any pointers or basic tips as I have played one game ever! (at lunch with my work mates)

The most exciting MtG thing I have done so far is buy some cute damage counters (they are tiny 3D stars that glow in the dark )

Just for fun - I went and took a couple!

This is MTGC  (Magic the Gathering Capybara)   first and only thing I have won from a claw machine, so now he gets to protect my deck when I take it out to play.

May i recommend to everyone that you put the cards on sleeves^^? pleeeease
rubber bands tend to accidentally melt and ruin cards^^. You never now when a low priced card is gonna hit the market because it combine with others to rock the game.
Cute counters! mine are dice, its easy to count because it just show the number you want to read instead of count. But are far less cute...

... but then again i rocked a pretty mean unglued/unhinged deck that was the bane of all players on campus lol ... no one liked my "enter the dungeon" cardds ... i had a game with three sub-games once .. it was kinda epic ... and messy to find tables that stacked well lmao

i should dig my cards out ... i haven't played in eons ...

There was one card...can't remember the name. It was an */* creature, where * was the number of times you had lost against your current opponent.

i'll have to try and find that card rocketeer ... it sounds familiar but i can't remember. there were a lot of really random things to call into account lol i loved "avatar of me" creature (your height round to nearest 1/2 / your american shoe size) color is your eye color ... i am an amazing 6/12 hazel unstoppable BEAST! lmao rawr! lol and elvish house party you had to take into consideration the time of day you r were playing cause it monkeyed with the card's strength ... soooo much fun and so crazy ... best sets ever lol

oh crap in a ahat ... that sucker was the bane of my existence for awhile lol NOW I REMEMBER HIM! ... curse my sliver deck! lol i think one guy had him at a 54/54 against me ... i was really hoping to get my big fuzzy monster into play ... but it didn't happen with two of those suckers in play by the third turn ... lol

and he's a Di Terlizzi card too, one of my fav artists. i'm gonna claim memory repression due to bad conotations lmao
