tutorials for cleaning inground dirt?

My Applejack (G1) is just covered in inground dirt.  I've tried scrubbing with a magic eraser to no avail.  Any suggestions?

Boiling water and baking soda will bring the dirt to the surface, and you should be able to scrub it away with the magic eraser. It usually takes a few tries to get it all off. Or, if you are impatient like I am, let the dirt come to the surface, and then use a cotton swab and acetone, it should get it right out.

I don't care what anyone else suggests, for the love of ponies don't use oxy clean. You are setting yourself up for disappointment.  Use BAKING SODA!

Yep, baking soda is an amazing cleanser!  :)  I use a regular washcloth and scrub ponies very thoroughly - obviously a little less roughly on the painted areas, but it really will scrub the grime out of them.  Then a quick cold water rinse and they might even have a bit of that pony scent to them!  :)

Ohh... do you soak the ponies in the mix? And about how much baking soda do you use? I love the idea of using something less harsh and more environmentally sound!

Thanks for the suggestions.  I would also like to know if you put the backing soda in the boiling water or do you just scrub with it after dunking the pony in the hot water?
