Post by: faespirit on November 18, 2018, 08:23:56 PM
Sooo...I officially have a youtube channel now. I just recently made a hairstyling tutorial on g4 Cuocake. On the down side, the quality is pretty bad.  :silly:

Well done on your first video! I know it’s quite the experience, sharing your content online. I’ve made a few animations, and it was terrifying at first. Your video looks well done for your first crack at editing. The quality isn’t that bad honestly. I’ve browsed YouTube and stumbled upon videos that might have been filmed on a microwave for all I know.
In summary, good job. But it’s also a learning opportunity. Can’t wait to see what you put out next!

Thank you! I plan on posting once a week and hopefully will learn more about better editing and whatever p ( pixels) means as in 720p and how adjust it.

What do you use to edit your videos? And what camera or phone are you using to record? Getting the quality of the video up depends on what you export the video as as well as the original resolution of what you've recorded.

Yes, I know and atm I'm basic and using my samsung galaxy s8 and a small tripod to film and using an app to edit. I think that explains why my videos look better on a smaller screen than a bigger one. In future, I will look into getting some type of camera!

Actually, a Samsung should record in alright quality. I think it's the way you export the video, it might reduce the quality a lot. See if you can upload to a computer and edit on there, or see if the app has better export settings.

The p in 720p stands for progressive scan, the other mode is interlaced which shows up as an i like 1080i.
I don’t think it’s too important to understand the specifics of that though when it comes to uploading videos (not that I know very much about video editing) I think 1080p is ideal for uploading to youtube since that’s what counts as full HD.
Usually you can get more options if you edit with a computer program as opposed to an app.

Thank you! My latest vid is actually a little better in quality as I did find another program wich allows me up to 720p.
