it was titled french vintage tin
if you have any info. do you have it? which country's sold it. did it have food in it.
also please share any odd or very rare G1 mlp merchandise pictures that you have spotted some where or if you own any OOAK mlp items ;)
-
Ooh, that is cool! What pony is on it? The one with purple hair on the front.
-
i know right :) its hopscotch
-
Ohhh! That makes a lot more sense than a pony with an amoeba symbol XD
-
I don't know the tin but I know the picture. Hang on...

It's apparently on the Wiki but I think I either have or have had that in the past. I think it's also possible it might be one of the images used on framed pictures here in the UK but I am not certain. There are quite a lot of those.
In any case, origin seems to be European. UK is highly likely but I haven't seen it before so it might have been the same art used across Europe.
I got rid of a lot of my merchandise but I still have some fun stuff. I had a thread on here about some of the stuff I found in the attic a while back. I'll go see if I can find the link.
Edit: Here's the thread I was thinking of, rather than posting all of the images again :)

I wonder how large of a tin is it?

that is really a sweet picture.
wow thanks so much for sharing the link, you had such awesome things. omg grabby hands for the seashell and bubbles pencil topped. me wantsies.
as for the shoe box, i love it, i hope you still have it. i remember i had a friend back in the day who had a mlp easter egg box sitting on her dressing table. i wanted it so bad for the g1 mlp art on it. she loved her ponies too and kept the empty box. iv never ever seen it before, iv even posted on here asking if anybody has ever seen it before, but no :(
anyways seeing your pic has given me a great idea on scanning a picture and putting in on a tin to make a pencil holder
I wonder how large of a tin is it?
im thinking maybe it held a jigsaw puzzle in it
-
That tin is lovely, sorry I can't comment more than that have never seen one before.
I'd back the idea of it once having had a jigsaw puzzle within.
On a different note, Taffeta I think I own the pajamas that go with your Princess Sparkle slippers. :P
I'll try and get a picture up with them and a few other things I've got.
-
sweet keep it coming :)
-
I still have the shoebox! It's one of my treasures, despite its battered state.
@aria_elwen...there are pyjamas too? XD awesome :D
-
That is really neat, wonder what else is going to show up next.
-
Hopefully this'll work...
They're old photos taken before it all got packed away.
Ouila, the top of the Princess Sparkle glow in the dark pyjamas, Pony Bride socks, Princess Ruby knickers, Baby Softsteps baseball cap, Summer Heatwave socks and Birthday Pony's colouring and activity pad (it came with a big colouring book but I haven't seen it in years :( ).

I used to have the seven friends backpack and the best friends babies school satchel but Mum threw them out.

I used to have the five friends backpack and the best friends babies school satchel but Mum threw them out.
wow what a bunch of cool stuff you have there :D these all must be UK merch too? iv never seen these before.
thanks for sharing

OMG those socks...I am sure we had socks either the same or very similar. Tropical ponies ring a bell. I know we had pony socks but I don't think they survived our childhood. Awesome pictures. Thank you for sharing <3.
I never saw that umbrella before either.
I am trying to remember what other clothes we might have had. I did get rid of a lot of merchandise because of space. I know my sister has a dress she used to wear a lot. But yeah. We definitely had socks that were in the same kind of style as those. I just can't remember if they had Summer Heatwave on them or if I'm just getting confused because of the hairclip which I really remember.
-
I love seeing G1 vintage Merch! I did not see a lot of that growing up as a child.
-
@shabbychicdee
Yep, UK. :) Grew up late 80's early 90's so I was young enough/old enough to catch the end of G1.
On a different note I'm wondering if the tin might be a poster tube? I remember a friend had the jigsaw and framed pictures as colouring in posters and they came in a long tube with pencils. Just wondering if that might be the French equivalent?
@Tafetta You're welcome. :) The Umbrella was a BHS exclusive I think... Clothingwise I know there was also a vest-knicker set with the sundae best ponies on from M & S but I can't remember anything else. :( Possibly a nightie?
Although you have just reminded me that somewhere I should still have hairbobbles with BabySoftsteps on as well. Same colours as the hat. The socks I actually inherited from the same friend who had the poster tube, she was a lot taller than me so as she grew her Mum used to pass them on to me. :)
@achab1984 I didn't either. :( But you're welcome. :)
-
It could actually be a waste bin...
Ooh, I have a nightie somewhere. Don't know where it is though O.o. I forget what age range.
