I've always wanted Steamer to have an engine to drive (and a train for it to pull). I recently finally got to work on that. I intend to work in influences from both Steamer's symbol and the engine pictured on the box of the Merry-Go-Round boardgame.

I like the proportions this gives, but I worry about the space it makes the locomotive take up. The other candidate for a boiler is the frosting can the engine is perched on for these photos. It would look very stubby, since it's shorter than the cab, but it would save some space.
I'm having trouble deciding, so I was hoping to get some input from people here.
