Hi all!  I'm Moonglow, I'm from a deep South state in North America   I'm pretty vague about myself online, but I'm a SAHM with an online job so I always like to have a project going. I've been learning how to restore my toys from my childhood as a therapeutic pastime and ponies felt like a great way to start!  I'm hoping to share my love of things like strawberry shortcake, rainbow brite, and MLP with my daughter as she gets older, so I'm trying to carefully revitalize some of those toys to help her learn about how to collect and care for toys, too.  Plus the tedious detail work of restoration is very zen to me.

I don't currently have much of a collection, as my mom was that classic 90s gotta-throw-everything-away parent who compulsively donated/discarded older stuff when closets got full.  Love her, but still give her a hard time today about selling my NES (with games) for $3 at a garage sale.  I've been keeping my eyes out for some G1's to restore and I gravitate towards ones with issues because I'm an artist and want to enjoy the challenge aka torture myself.  Right now I have a Medley, a Firefly, and (I think) a Moondancer that need some serious TLC.  For them, the info I'm seeking would be about old ink stains, faded symbol repainting, and two small cancer spots on the interior neck of Moondancer.

I've been lurking here for several months enjoying the knowledge of the mlp arena and mlp preservation project, so I'm very excited to delve in more and talk to others doing restoration work.  I feel passionate about preserving the pop culture and merchandise of the 80s/90s so it's really great to find this community.
