Yay! New thread!

Continuing on from the last one ...

I remember Picklepud saying he got rid of his (creases) with boiling water, but it also took his sideburns off   My 1600 Clawd has a bad case of glue seepage so beware......
Yeah, I want to see if I can heat these guys up without dipping them in water, just so a) I don't mess up their hairdos and b) I don't potentially provide a catalyst for the glue seepage thing.

My Clawd's hair is rock hard with hair spray. I'm not sure I'd be able to tell if he had a glue seepage problem or not. At least not right away anyway.

Now that I think of it, Jupi's suggestion of the hairdryer might work for Clawd, since I only want to heat up his face, and maybe even Lagoona, since I only want to heat up her ears. Not sure it would be enough to heat up the Cleos' heads enough that the prongs inside soften up, though.

blowdryer would be worth a shot at least -- its easier to control than hot water or even a heating pad

OK. I'll have a go. What setting should I put it on and for how long? I don't want to melt their hair or face paint.

EDIT: Misread it.
If you're trying to remove their heads or heat them up, keep the hairdryer (on medium or high) at least 2 inches from their heads but aimed towards the neck hole (or whatever you're trying to heat up). I usually leave it there for about 30 seconds to a minute. Never had any problems with it and their heads become very easy to remove.

When I customize ponies, I sit them next to my old laptop's fan, it gets really warm and helps the heads slip off and on and for rehearing.

...

Very silly, but it works, and it's easy as I always use that laptop.

So, yeah, I use that for heating, but that doesn't help you.
When the Equestria Girls dolls show up in stores and you end up with unneeded doubles, PM me! I'll buy them!/i]

Gave my daughter Rochelle today and when I opened her, there was a grease spot on the cardboard that she was attached to.....thought, oh great.....her hair at the roots is very greasy-like.....the bummer thing was that, at TRU, I made sure I got the "best" one and she had no VISIBLE flaws....

Her hair looks much better after washing out that awful gel, I think. I like the idea of her showing off her (conveniently thematic and non-deforming) scar instead of hiding it all the time, 'cuz it's kewl-looking. :3

I love what you've done with your Operetta's hair, Saply! And showcasing her beautiful markings is love. <3 I love the victory roll look on my basic, but maybe RM Oprie can be re-styled into something more interesting...

Ahmahgawds Saply she looks sooo pretty! Makes me wanna take mines hair down. Maybe I'll take RM's Operetta's hair down once I get her since it's sort of plain looking up. BTW their shoes are AWESOME! The skates are a lot more rubbery than most of the shoes and they slide on and off like a dream. I hope this trend continues. They also roll just like real! I was having so much fun rolling them over stuff XD

I usually leave it there for about 30 seconds to a minute. Never had any problems with it and their heads become very easy to remove.
Just tested the hairdryer on my broken wave 2 Frankie. I had it on high and used it for at least 30 seconds and was able to get her head off, although the barbs on the neck prong have some of that white stretched plastic look to it.

I'm not sure how well the Cleo head swap will go, as they aren't the same body color (one is from China, one is from Indonesia). However, I am now thinking I will also do a head swap with my wave 1 Ghoulia and the GB Ghoulia, since the former has loose hips and the latter has the new plastic-jointed hips.

Oh, and I tried the hairdryer on Clawd's face. Took several blasts on high for at least 30 seconds, if not a whole minute, and the crease is now vastly diminished although it's still not entirely gone!
