my first couple I just glued it to the outside, but I don't think that looks very good
so I've started cutting out the iris and pupil and using apoxie sculpt to anchor the jewel

yup, they definitely look better when they're set in a bit, on the G3s at least. It's harder with G4s because their eyes are all differnt shapes. I love the teardrop ones to work with fluttershy's eye shape, very cute.

Don't have a specific technique visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Just cut out the black part of the eye and fill the hole with a Swarovski Chaton.
I don't like acrylic chatons - and don't like them flat so I use coned back stones =)
They are glued into the hole.

I made a TE Quackers. I actually used some rhynstones that had a lip and set them into the pony's plastic. The end result was perfect though

i cut into the eye and remove enough plastic to settle them down and look inset. i usually just glue them as there is still plastic there.
